This has been around for years as a bootleg called "Fifth Order of Angels"... It got an official (I.E legal) release a year or two ago called "ABC 1974" Its a good listen, I'd get the whole thing and somewhat historical as it was one of the first few performances with Neil as the drummer.

Just found the CD version of this for $11 at Best Buy... Can't wait to listen.

Not a bad beer, in fact it's rated very high on BA and on RB, but after a few sips of this It turned me off the "sour" style completely. http://res.cloudinary.com/ratebeer/image/upload/w_250,c_limit,q_85,d_beer_def.gif/beer_10325.jpg

John Wesley I believe is their touring guitarist right now... Don't know what went on with the guitarist on the album, and I don't know if he'll be back if and when the band goes to make their second record, but it would be great to see Wesley in a permanent gig for once, if they decide to keep him on. For those who don't know Wesley has been the touring Guitarist for Porcupine Tree on their last several tours... And is fuggin amazing

New Dream Theater album "DREAM THEATER poll, what's the verdict?
The Owl replied to treeduck's topic in Music Of The Spheres
Wow, I am digging Illumination Theory, but damn is this song all over the place...but not the best of DT epics. Overall I liked the album... It's roughly at about where ADTOE was after the first listen at about a 7.... Hopefully the score will grow as I let the record sink in as ADTOE did. -

First listen.... So far so good. -
It's been out for a couple of months now, but has anyone checked out "Dimensionaut" by this new band fronted by the Simon Collins, son of Phil Collins. If you haven't I recommend you check them out.

Didn't really leave, I lurk still quite a bit, but I made the switch to the Texans since I moved back to Texas a few years ago

Gonna try and remember to pick this one up tomorrow... really behind on new releases. From this year I still need the new Big Big Train, Mike Portnoy's Winery Dogs CD, the new Haken album, Anathema's "Universal" live record, and the new Queensryche (La Torre) album -
From the 3 (OLV, Earthshine, and Ghost Rider) I checked out from the RS feed, on my computer speakers It's a night and frickin day difference... WOW... cant wait to pick up the full thing.

Titties and Beer by Frank Zappa -
Beats the hell out of "On the Backs of Angels" IMO... as far as leadoff tracks go.
-
Looking forward to this record... It'll be a good year for DT with this and the Luna Park Blu-Ray
-

dream theater new dvd out because of legal issues??
The Owl replied to rugen's topic in Music Of The Spheres
Any actual evidence beyond conjecture to support this at all? I'm awaiting the Live at Luna Park Blu-Ray as well, but why point at Portnoy for no reason other than "just cause" on why we have not heard anything on the release since it's announcement? -
In the Middle of a re-read of Book 5 in "A Song of Ice and Fire", or the Game of Thrones series to the show viewers, "A Dance with Dragons" when I came across this passage..... (very minor spoilers from the book, without context that this quote is from it wont ruin anything for you... pretty safe for you show only people) . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . http://i.imgur.com/pOuQAS8l.jpg Remind you of anything....? Not that they are actually related, and most likely are both inspired from the same real life events, that Neil Mentions when talking about "The Wreckers", but I came across this today and though... "Oh, that's cool" Didn't catch in on my first read, as Clockwork Angels was not out yet.

Love the album, still sounds great... odd for an Opeth record though... This is what I was expecting with Storm Corrosion.
