  1. I could name a few dozen covers that I really enjoy, but my favorite would be Opeth's cover of Robin Trower's "Brige of Sighs" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vwyVfUb-mM0
  2. Yes! This is exactly why I didn't like it either. I was shocked. I was expecting so much more and then in one second *POOF* new doctor! I do like that the new doctor is older. Tennant and Smith were young. I can't wait to see what Capaldi is going to bring to the table. I'm hoping for a Jon Pertwee vibe. I love Pertwee!!!

  7. So is Waters apparently..... http://m.rollingstone.com/music/news/roger-waters-recording-first-rock-album-in-over-two-decades-20131113 What is happening? This is awesome!
  8. http://ultimateclassicrock.com/david-gilmour-new-album/ Nash is contributing guest vocals to the album as he did with "On an Island" according to the article..... All I can say is hell yes. I loved OAI and have been waiting for a follow up for a good while.
  9. The book was good but felt rushed and short. Should have been at least 100 pages longer to tell the same story.
  10. John Wetton on Afterglow was awesome
  11. I've recently listened to the most recent releases by Big Big Train. ( English Electric Pts. 1&2). Very good band and looks like the new main gig for Spock's Beard's Nick D'Vigirillio
  12. Rush (tied 1st) Pink Floyd (tied 1st) Steven Wilson/Porcupine Tree Yes Opeth (tied 5th) Dream Theater (tied 5th)
  13. Watching this amazing DVD right now http://www.hackettsongs.com/news/newsAlbum10.html Pick it up if you can.... Glad Steve Hackett is still at it.
  14. Sorry for the old bump, but after a couple of listens I almost want to put "The Mountain" up as album of the year so far. I still think Steven Wilson has that spot, but damn was this new record amazing... Sorry DT, both Haken and Riverside have showed you up on albums for this year.
  15. Is there a personell list and list of guest musicians yet?
  16. I think BCS will be to Breaking Bad what Boston Legal was to the Practice... Still technically a drama, with a comedic bend.
  17. This has been around for years as a bootleg called "Fifth Order of Angels"... It got an official (I.E legal) release a year or two ago called "ABC 1974" Its a good listen, I'd get the whole thing and somewhat historical as it was one of the first few performances with Neil as the drummer.
  18. Just found the CD version of this for $11 at Best Buy... Can't wait to listen.
  19. is texas a prog rock black hole or something? No Steven Wilson, No Transatlantic.... f**k!
  20. The opening line of the Badfinger song at the end was perfect.. "Guess I got what I deserved" once again...perfect
  21. John Wesley I believe is their touring guitarist right now... Don't know what went on with the guitarist on the album, and I don't know if he'll be back if and when the band goes to make their second record, but it would be great to see Wesley in a permanent gig for once, if they decide to keep him on. For those who don't know Wesley has been the touring Guitarist for Porcupine Tree on their last several tours... And is fuggin amazing
