  1. Once again the Professor didn't disappoint!
  2. I did notice in Nashville that Subdivisions was a bit faster than he usually plays. I remember on the S&A tour, Limelight was noticably slower. I'm sure that was because it opened the show and set the pace though.
  3. I just watched the documentary from the Toronto stop on the S&A tour where the monitor tech discussed cleaning the ear monitors before each show to prevent such things. I wear ear monitors and never entertained the idea of infections.
  4. QUOTE (RushbyUnleashed @ Apr 4 2011, 02:29 PM) Hey all, thanks for the info. The reason I thought they might be in Louisville was because they had an off day between Nashville and Louisville. I didn't realize Neil was a bus & bike guy, although it doesn't surprise me. I participate in Springsteen message boards so I understand that the stalking talk can be annoying. My son has been drumming about 4 years and he discovered Neal Peart videos on the internet, and he became this huge Rush fan...... and those instructional videos helped. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kBDo3uwWlxA In four years he's doing really great! You should be proud!
  5. QUOTE (Axeshredder @ Apr 4 2011, 08:19 PM) QUOTE (1 of the 7 @ Apr 4 2011, 08:00 PM)QUOTE (Axeshredder @ Apr 4 2011, 01:37 PM) i hope they stay healthy but it may be time for them to do some training to stay that way.. If what I've heard is correct, they do. Tennis, bicycling, working out are part of the job . thank god...all that fancy road food seems to be catching up to Neil and Alex...lol...they better diet soon I thought Alex looked a few pounds lighter than the S&A Tour.
  6. Thanks for taking the time to share.
  7. It's also in the ear of the beholder.
  8. Especially since they play such long sets with very few days off and they go all out for their fans.
  9. The band has a few Nashville connections. Not only were the two new songs recorded at Blackbird in town but producer Nick Raskulinecz lives there ( I met him last night, a great guy) and the company that puts together the bands lighting is based there. Oh and I THINK -not positive- that the motorcoaches the crew rides in are based out of Nashville. Overall I thought the production was spot on. The guys brought their "A" game and the lighting was by far the best i've ever witnessed. Once again they amazed me.
  10. QUOTE (Janie @ Mar 14 2011, 06:55 PM)Great. How am I supposed to enjoy the Rush show now? That damn spoiler is all I'm going to be thinking about until the Seattle show. ^^^Gets it^^^^
  11. Hilarious considering how serious people take this spoiler thing here.
  12. QUOTE (bscsmkr @ Jun 29 2010, 09:42 AM) It kind of looks like he switched a couple sizes of a few drums. Smaller perhaps? Actually it looks like the same sizes to me with exception of the kick drum. It could be a 22" instead of the 23" he used on the S&A kit. I doubt it though because Neil loved the sound of the 23". I've been known to be wrong before!.
  13. To start off, Geddy plays directly into the house sound and by doing that bypasses the use of amps/cabinets. To bring balance to the stage he felt the need to put something behind him. Since Geddy has a very funny and dry sense of humor, you get things like dryers and roasters.
  14. QUOTE (Cavorticus @ Jul 23 2007, 11:26 AM) I was working backstage on Saturday (7/21/07) and after the show ended, Neil Peart actually sprinted from the stadium. Not ran; sprinted. What the heck is up with that? A. Diarrhea B. Had to pee C. Family emergency D. Total dick Another bash Neil thread? Nice first post.
  15. Tom Sawyer. It put the air in airdrumming.
  16. Subdivisions! I NEVER get tired of hearing this song. And Neils playing.....Mindblowing!
