It's been 20 something years since I listened to Howard Stern. What does he even do on his show these days?
He has been interviewing some really good guests. Had Billy Joel on last week, also recently Metallica, Paul McCartney, Keith Richards, Bruce Springsteen etc...
Some woman called after that segment and asked if he would have Geddy on the show for an interview and he said absolutely. We shall see.

Howard Stern is known for not being a Rush fan, but yesterday he was talking about how he decided to give Geddy's book a try and much to his surprise, fell in love with Geddy and thinks the book is a home run. I recorded it for you all :)

Just finished chapter 4. Chapter 3 was a tough read.
I'm enjoying it though.

Harris looks like Statham, Biehn looks like Leguizamo and Mastrantonio looks like my wife.

Tesseract. Their new album "War Of Being" is a prog metal masterpiece. it's a must listen.

Watched a screening in the theater last night of James Cameron's The Abyss remastered 4K. The film holds up and looked absolutely amazing.

I'm truly envious of you and others like you.
I thought the material was pretty strong, but the production makes me want to punch Nick.

Having been to the first show in NYC, it was nowhere near as bad as people seem to think w/people yelling out. Far quieter and more attentive/well-behaved audience than any rock show I ever attended for sure. The haters (most of whom didn’t even go to any of these shows) should ask people who were actually there instead of reviewing the shows based on second hand video clips and a hypocritical notion that everyone should feel and behave exactly the same way as they do at a live public event or else they’re “selfish”. I can understand being upset the guy behind you uses your back as a set of drums for an entire rock concert as if everyone does it (which has actually happened to my older brother at a Rush concert—it almost resulted in a fist fight). That said, these shows are all unique and very moving at times and extremely entertaining.
There were 2 or 3 people in L.A. out and being annoying, but for the most part everyone was well behaved and attentive.

Why do people feel compelled to yell at the person/people on stage?
It's maddening

He's a funny mofo. I think I would have enjoyed that over Novoselic but you take what you can get, eh?
Yes, one of the highights was at one point Jack said "I have some interview notes on my phone, let me take it out and reference them" and then he puts the mic up to the phone and starts playing Xanadu and rocking out like only Jack Black does. Geddy was rolling.

I'm noticing that there's no CD version of this disaster. I guess because they know that they'd never be able to sell enough 1 CD versions of the thing to justify production.seriously? I thought there would be at least a regular CD version just for completists.

im interested in that Richard Chycki remix but looks like it only 5.1. There should have been a stereo version as well.

10/1/77: AFTK tour with UFO opening at the Santa Monica Civic. I think I spent $10.00 for an 8th row seat.
It was pretty mindblowing for a 15 year old. Never missed a tour since.

He is really is. That would be awesome if you could land a Geddy interview.
