  1. Not suggesting this is probable, but I have wondered if we will see Alex at Massey Hall. It's a special place for them (Geddy saw Cream/Jack Bruce, a seminal RUSH concert) and is home turf. It would be well received (and I am excited to be there!).
  2. Yes George S. would be another good possibility!
  3. I'm looking forward to the Massey Hall show, got my ticket today. I'm not suggesting this is probable, but I am wondering if we might see Alex as the 'guest interviewer' in Toronto. I would not be totally surprised. Massey Hall is important to them both, where Geddy first saw and was inspired by Jack Bruce, and of course the 1974 RUSH concert.
  4. Thank you so very much! This would have taken a lot of effort to compile. An excellent and valuable summation which will keep me busy for a long time! :-)
  5. Neil's book Ghost Rider inspired me in many ways, not the least of which was to take up motorcycling in my 40s and ride across North America several times. And a love of BMW GS bikes. Neil occasionally dropped by the bike shop I frequented in Toronto, but never while I was there. I did cross paths with him once, in Idaho as he was heading south by motorcycle after a show the night before in Calgary. We were just two bike guys both of us on GSs, heading in opposite directions, and he gave me an enthusiastic wave. No words exchanged. He and Geddy IMHO were the ultimate rock rhythm section. Condolences to family and friends, Rod (Toronto)
  6. QUOTE (Todem @ Dec 6 2010, 02:22 PM)Well.....we all love to brag about Rush, spread the joy, infect our youth and hope they can be as popular as other bands because of our massive love for this band. Well it has come at a cost. Rush IMO has not been this popular since...well yes 30 years ago when Mopving Pictures was being recorded. So it is fitting they call this the Time Machine Tour as their popularity has never been higher in the last 30 years than now. They are everywhere. So we have higher ticket prices. They have other ticket options everyone. You can see them much for much less.....but you won't have the view you want. +1
  7. QUOTE (druid13 @ Oct 4 2010, 01:00 PM)my ONLY complaint was I wish they had picked a different song in the intro to the story...Geds voice on Time Stand Still sounded...very very strained there. Sometimes I think the media puposely looks for those 'quirky' high pitched Geddy clips. RUSH has sort of a Wayne's World human interest angle for a lot of people, and the media will reinforce that persepctive to help color the story. At worst it is endearing, in a way, at best we get to see some interesting interviews. Party on Garth...........
  8. ..........and at the end of the morning show (just before 9) they showed John jamming to Limelight at soundcheck. Pretty cool for John!!!
  9. CNN, John Roberts did a great interview with the trio (when younger John was on Canada's Muchmusic) around the Atlanta show. The guys looked relaxed and happy. They played some old footage from the early 80s of John interviewing Geddy. Neil was happy and chuckling. Love those guys.......
  10. I agree, that sustained note is there.......(Syracuse concert)
