QUOTE (johndyar @ Oct 6 2010, 08:56 AM) QUOTE (friendlyfloridian @ Oct 6 2010, 08:19 AM) QUOTE (johndyar @ Oct 5 2010, 10:14 AM) I had this signed at the Atlanta show for my Daughter. http://www.jd-photography.net/sam_rush_web.jpg I took a look at all her other photos. It was nice for the band to do that for her. May I ask what her condition is? She is doing good. She has been off treatment and cancer free for 2 years and 9 months. Thanks for asking! Great news, and a great photo..with Neil too! Love it!
  2. Yeah, that 1st pic is badazz. What is that cocoon thing flying over them, is that on the screen? Looks like a Pink Floyd show. ha.
  3. QUOTE (Rushchick10 @ Aug 16 2010, 11:10 PM) QUOTE (tick @ Aug 16 2010, 07:56 AM) Not liking Rush is a deal breaker? You might want to rethink that one. Well, I have to say that if my husband didn't like Rush when we met, then we probably wouldn't have gotten very far in our relationship. I mean, I spend a LOT of money traveling to Rush concerts and, if he didn't like Rush, then it would be impossible for me to do that. He doesn't always go with me, but I have his blessing (of course, as long as the bills are paid, etc...). Being attached to a person who doesn't appreciate or support something that you love and care about makes for a pretty miserable life. My husband and I wouldn't have gotten much past "hello" if he hadn't liked Rush. Shallow? Perhaps, but that's just me. Rush is one of the few things in life that I truly LOVE and can completely enjoy all the time! They mean the world to me. Besides, this kid is WAY TO STINKING YOUNG to be thinking about marriage! Get out and live life! I actually dated a girl for 2 years that saw my band exactly 0 times, and we played some cool bars that she might normally be at but it was always "well, i'm going here.." (no my band is not totally crappy either). If the person doesn't even make the effort to try and like something you care about, lose them...it's undoubtedly indicative of larger problems you will have. It's just about the effort and spending time watching the other person enjoying themselves that should bring you some joy. IMO.
  4. QUOTE (robertrobyn @ Oct 3 2010, 09:22 PM) http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/hue...ramedSigned.jpg[/img] Here is what I got back with one of my tickets and one of the 70 or so pics I took. I like that pic you took, for some reason it reminds me of the GUP/PW tour...was that taken during Marathon solo? Maybe it's the lighting...anyway, cool pic.
  5. Only one per poster, can be of anything related to this tour as long as you (or your ticket mate) took the pic. Give us your best. Top 5 to be voted on in a poll later.
  6. QUOTE (Deckiller @ Sep 30 2010, 10:53 PM) QUOTE (StuffWithoutStyle @ Sep 30 2010, 09:17 PM) Open Secrets > Anthem??? ballsy decision Tough decision, too. These songs are like fractions of a millimeter apart. If by fractions you mean miles, and by millimeters you mean worlds apart then yes. Anthem HYF
  7. Love the frame jobs w/tickets, very nice. Nobody buys signed items on ebay, there are just a bunch of sellers and no buyers for those items...of which probably 95% are fake anyway. But to have a band you like personally sign something for just you, that is pretty priceless. Congrats and Enjoy them.

They are both credible Well, they've been right about some things, but wrong about others. To be honest, I haven't seen anything that is incorrect. Have anything specific? FOHLights is a credible source. That's all I'm sayin'. Yes. Absolutely a credible source. We'll leave it at that... I don't understand... who are all these people who are "in the know"? Is FOH Geddy or something? Why is everyone so sure of this guy? FOH is not Geddy. FOH is Neil, pretending to be Geddy as FOH. I'm sure there will be a DVD of this tour. You don't sell $90 hoodies then pass on the DVD sales. ha Thats just Marketing 101, or what is 102? Actually, I don't remember, I used to sleep through marketing class alot.
  9. Yup, sorta read like you sent in a bunch of stuff to be signed..my bad i guess.
  10. Placing all the songs in a bingo wheel to be drawn at random would produce a better order. All of HYF, PW, S&A should be gone before S4N and VS. If they played Something 4 Nothing on this tour the place would go apenuts. If they played Open Secrets and it's a bathroom break for 75% of the stadium.
  11. QUOTE (LakesideMaiden @ Sep 24 2010, 01:36 PM) QUOTE (Janie @ Sep 20 2010, 10:36 AM) QUOTE (varney2613 @ Sep 19 2010, 06:20 PM) QUOTE (SeaTurtle @ Sep 19 2010, 08:05 PM) I'm not sure about sending a note with it, though, and am wondering if I should bother since it seems they aren't being read. I'm not sure who is reading them, but someone is. My note was the only place where I wrote my name and since my album was personalized, someone had to have read it. It can't hurt to throw in a note. I agree. Send a little note and sign it so they can personalize it for you. And by personalize I mean, they will put your name on it. What I meant by someone not reading notes was that I had included a note attached with my TSOR guitar sheet music. It seems like if someone had read it they would have understood why I was sending it in, why it was special to me and why I wanted Alex to sign it. Also, LM sent something in she wanted personalized for her son but that didn't happen either. What's weird about it is that I signed each of the notes (and there was one for each of them in it's own envelope, with a family photo of us) from Kathy, David and Niall - so you'd think that if they we're not going to follow the direction of the letter and personalize it to who I asked (Niall) that they would put it to the persons that signed the letter (Kathy, David and Niall)...instead, it was just to Kathy and David. Just weird... *edited to say that I'm not complaining by any means, I am so happy that I have something signed by them...I'm just sad that I don't have something signed to my son, which was the point of sending it in...* Why didn't you just send in one photo and say please sign it for my son if that is what you wanted? Definitely a bit of too much of a good thing going on with a few here when you send in multiple things to multiple places, right? I just sent my one item to Tampa...I saw the Camden and Allentown shows, but didn't have the time to hit the post office until today. Wish me luck. p.s. On topic, I bought an Andy Timmons Band T-shirt from his website and it came with a personalized note and signature. I wasn't expecting that..very cool.
  12. QUOTE (LeaveMyThingAlone @ Aug 24 2010, 09:14 PM) QUOTE (RushRevisited @ Aug 24 2010, 09:09 PM) Here's another picture from Red Rocks of Geddy's side audience: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v323/RushRevisited/redrocks1.jpg Geddy's got a nice view of what's going on in the front row there....yowza! Oh my!
  13. QUOTE (Shreddy Lee @ Sep 18 2010, 03:54 PM) "I hate Rush, they are so boring, they played that stupid song, for like 20 minutes" God, this whole thing was great. They took a bad situation and turned it into an awesome one. That is great!
  14. There are not too many "danceable" rush songs, but I saw a few dancing to LTTA. Even the cameragirl was shaking her backside during the song.
  15. QUOTE (ModernDayWarrior @ Sep 6 2010, 08:10 PM) If I'm not mistaken, I believe he uses a delay were you can hit a button and have it loop repeatedly. I have an old digitech digital delay box from the 80's (it actually has a full 8 second delay) where it has 2 foot buttons and when you hit the second switch you can infinitely repeat the last note you hit. I've used it before whenever I played that solo from Limelight and it works perfectly. Ha, I've got that same delay (somewhere) the Digitech PDS1000 or something with 1 sec of delay, their first generation of hold delay. I remember that being a pretty sweet sounding delay pedal.
  16. QUOTE (Steve_888 @ Sep 3 2010, 10:42 PM) I work as an aircraft tower at YYZ oddly enough I always wanted to work as an aircraft tower. but they said I was too short.
  17. Joined a football survival pool tonight. btw, I was perfect last year...1st time ever. http://img814.imageshack.us/img814/8919/zyahoo212.jpg
  18. You are right I don't believe it...oh wait, there are pics...yes I believe it. You choked the chicken on Rush's stage?
  19. Even though they kinda sold out in those pretty production 90s MTV videos, and those songs are not my favorite....I still like "parts" of those songs. I'm glad they played the track off PW windows this tour, that break/solo is one of my favorites. But yeah, The Big Money video or TSS video...not so great. They may not have jumped the shark, but they were lacing up the waterskis.
  20. QUOTE (tapehead2 @ Sep 2 2010, 08:18 PM) QUOTE (jdouglas @ Sep 2 2010, 07:39 PM)QUOTE (tapehead2 @ Sep 2 2010, 07:24 PM) QUOTE (Jaminbenb @ Sep 2 2010, 04:36 PM)Nice shots! Did you get the whole show? (and will you be seeding a DVD at some point?!?!) Unfortunately no, I only shot these four songs. I was in the second row in front of Alex, and there was a security guard posted five feet from me the entire time. I didn't want to push my luck with excessive filming and risk 1) pissing off Alex and/or 2) getting told by security to shut it down. So I chose four songs only, kind of spread out. The rest of the time I was playing air drums and air guitar. Alex looked right at me at a couple points. Yeah, I saw you playing the wireless Air Guitar. Alex had a guy come up and he tried to give you his pick, but you didn't take it. Arrrgghhhh!!! When I am filming, I get in a zone. I am trying to stay PERFECTLY still and I don't want people talking to me or breaking my concentration. When that guy approached me with what looked like a little rolled up piece of paper (?), I thought he was another audience member who wanted a copy of my video and was handing me his email address. So I just glared at him, not wanting to be disturbed. Okay so now I am banging my head against the wall. Oh well, at least I got Alex's attention. Oh well, You looked like you had alot fun, and the vids came out great.

Awesome clear vids! Were you one of the Asian couple on the aisle in at the end of Section E? Did alex try to give you a guitar pick and your gf (or you) didnt take it? If so, bummer. The guy next to me got Neil's Sticks. sweet for him.
  23. He looked pissed that he had to play that tele on Time Stand Still, guitar tech got an evil look cause the PRS wireless was down...but it sounded awesome for that song.
