  5. I vote MP edging out Hem . Witch Hunt must a been a drunk fest imagine vigilante chanting with the band and crew on the steps of LeStudio while vital signs was a recorded in one take to fill time as a last song on a near perfect album which was the pinnicle of their carreers . Album started strong and ended stong- the stars alligned during that session
  6. Love Oysterhead. Never followed that up did they? They still get together -but the band disbursed after a point . Claypool and copeland still have interests
  7. The guy needs to be committed. He's a nut. Well, I'm gullible and softhearted so I sent him $20 and I got a very nice long sleeved T shirt with the Le Studio logo on it and the caption of "Temple of Sound". Supposedly there's a clean-up session for those who want to help out and he's posted photos of work in progress. Since I don't live in Quebec, I won't make the cleaning session. No, it probably won't make any difference but just because you guys don't give a sh*t doesn't mean it doesn't have a future. You obviously don't know about all of the fake profiles he's made on Facebook and how he's copied legitimate fan websites and added people to them without their knowledge, just to sell his paraphernalia. When confronted in any way about what he's doing he's sent nasty messages to many people, of which I personally have been on the receiving end. At one point he was selling parts of Le Studio. A piece of wood from the place. It's not his place to sell. He doesn't own it. Do people who donate not understand that? He has contributed to the destruction of the place and profited personally from it. My daughter went to the Music festival in Quebec last month headlining Metalica and The Who- She seen Mr.Baxter on the curb at the entrance to the venue with his street drummer set up and the LeStudio shirts (not even the right fonts ) and the campaign poster laid out beside him and watched him play out a bit .She then told her boyfriend" wow, there is someone else on earth who respects Rush and LeStudio like my dad does". As she approached him to throw in a few bucks in his near empty case -Rudely, He demanded she buy a shirt and contribute at least 20 bucks for his efforts . She was shocked that this guy who appeared to be on the down and out said that?" -then, he called them some rude names demanding a decent size donation? . My daughter turned around and told him to F-off.
  8. The clean up has begun - here we go again with Richard Baxter Quebec's street drummer and his fund raising crew starting the clean up of Le Studio . utube lestudio morin heights renovations. The goal is turn it into museum /music school .
  9. I like "summers coming "because its quarky-copeland- he sings !! and sounds fresh as hell on those tamas missing the 1 beat and playing on 3 like only Copeland does Heres a guy who had the world on his shoulders in the late 70s and all of the 80s with 2 of the most outstanding musicians of the times. They were the #1 band in the world of the 80s for pop-classic rock with a style all of their own .The egos got the best of them - but all 3 went on in their own rights to acomplish great material and teachings. Copeland has a huge library of work from vidoeo-game backing tracks to movie soundtracks to composing operas to forming supergroups with the likes of osterhead(primus) to Gizmodrome . they came back in 07 08 to re-unite ( seen both shows in Toronto)-amazing . All 3 best in class of their instruments . A magic trio just like Rush that will likely never be duplicated on those scales again . I'm happy / honered to be listening to this material by SC . 65-70 years old with nothing to gain -just making music . I study the drum parts of SC to become a better musician . I respect hearing his approach specifaly percussion on his material. there was only 1 The POLICE - Its a paradigm of the cosmos . A roller coater in jeans
  10. ride your horse on your star spangled rodeo rip GC
  11. Compare strange things happen- dont box me in (rumblefish) - and summers coming.. true - Copeland style-
  12. Nice to see Stewarts still pulling projects together. Still sounds fresh on those TAMAS. Kewl !! Stewie on Vocals & Drums http://www.stereogum...oming/premiere/ Gizmodrome is a new supergroup poised to release their debut self-titled LP next month. Comprising the Police’s Stewart Copeland, Level 42’s Mark King, King Crimson’s , David Bowie's Adrian Belew, and frequent PFM performer Vittorio Cosma, the band has announced the album’s second single, “Summer’s Coming,” which follows lead track “Amaka Pippa.”
