  1. I am in it alot because my brother and I was right in front of Geddy's main microphone next to the Moving Pictures guys. Unbelievable.
  2. I was standing next to the Moving Pictures guys right in front of Ged's microphone, Row 1, Seat 1. I was wearing my Snakes and Arrows black polo and a no shave November beard. Hopefully I won't be forever embarrased by doing something stupid looking.
  3. Yes, Geddy, Alex and Neil are thanked in the liner notes.
  4. As expected, I didn't get off the first page before the complaints started rolling in.
  5. My computer says the same thing.
  6. No you're not. The ending of the song has voices and Aimee Mann vocals.
  7. My wife's first cousin was Ace's guitar tech a few years back (he has been with Collective Soul for the past few years). He claims that Ace would be totally cool one day and a total jerk the next. One story he told us was one night Ace came up to him and asked him what he did when he got his guitar ready. He told Ace that he would go through a short chord progression and then give it a good power chord crunch. Ace told him something along the lines of 'You turn it on, strum it once and put it down. They are here to see me, not you', and walked away. In case you are interested, here is a clip of him filling in on stage with Collective Soul doing 'Shine'. It's pretty bad audio but he does a good job on the solo from 2:50-3:25.
  8. TSS is a truly regrettable video. The spoof was at least worth a view though.
  9. QUOTE (drbirdsong @ Aug 9 2011, 02:36 PM)About ten years ago I used to visit a Rush website (can't remember the name) and this guy had a lot of rare items. One of the songs he had available for download was the studio version of The Weapon from the 12" single. This version had the Count Floyd intro and was a bit shorter than the album track. At that point I had no idea that there was a studio version. A hard drive crash or two later and I no longer have it. Whenever I find that site again and go to it there is a message saying that it was taken down at the request of Atlantic Records. It's a real shame because there were a lot of rarities and radio/single edits and things for the curious. For all I know that person may be on this forum now... I think the website you are referring to was called 'Freedom of Music'. That was the impetus for me getting into collecting bootlegs.
  10. QUOTE (Alex @ Dec 29 2010, 02:13 AM) QUOTE (rocketom @ Dec 28 2010, 06:19 PM) 9 am to 11:30 pm, thats going to be one hell of concert. Cant Bitch about the setlist then. That's regular length. 14 1/2 hours. Yep, thats how long they played in Tulsa when I saw them.
  11. I saw them in Tulsa in September and thought it was great and was convinced that his voice was fine. Then I got a copy of the show and he does not sound so good.
  12. I got an email and a phone call at work from live nation today asking if I got my package. I think I could have lied and got another one but I didn't.
  13. QUOTE (Throwman @ Sep 24 2010, 02:28 PM) Subdivisions: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lId7lxpo3wo (Didn't think to start filming at the beginning so I didn't get the first verse) This is where Neil breaks his snare, just a few seconds into the video.
  14. I was in the second row exactly in front of Geddy and it was awesome. Neil broke his snare at the beginning of the last song of the first set, so that sucked. I counted two busted snares on the night but the guy next to me said he saw three. Ged had a bass issue early on and there were a few minor flubs that were probably only noticible to people who are freaks like me. I am forever ruined as I can't imagine seeing them anywhere but up close from now on.
  15. I got mine today. I thought the shirt would be a new design but it is just the first logo on a grayish shirt, so that kind of sucks. The poster and the guitar picks are pretty sweet though. I think that there are 8 or so picks with different designs. I can't wait to finally see the documentary and the extras!
