40 years of Rush !

Doing my thing, Delivering fresh Pizza, Pasta & Wings 12th street is a one lane each direction except at the intersections it goes to 2 lanes, most people stay in the left regular lane. This guy darts out from behind me & try's to pass on the right & does, but then he immediately slams on the brakes & yup I hit him. My 2010 Soul has a crushed front lower clip that popped back out but you can see the cracks, a big white gouge close to that same area & a slice cut in the bumper black piece that is just above the front plate. If the front clip needs replacing & those other parts this could be a 700.00 fix it job. I know 99.9% of rear collisions are the rear drivers fault no matter what, But what is your Opinion on this incident 3 minute clip, jump to 1/2 way ( 1:30 )

I was working my night shift & I'm known as the "Rush" guy, especially in this central phoenix area. Well a guest requested for me to deliver their order, nothing to unusual, But when I arrive I'm quickly told they have the Cellist from Rush's tour visiting. I don't believe it was possible to buy moving picture prior to 2/12/81 :) Correct U R - 81 in was Moved to RENO, Nevada late March of 1981 & was about 1 month after that I was in Carson city on a foot note . . . . . Rush was playing Reno in June & I was 1st in line & had tickets # 00001 thru # 00008 ( general admission ) Also had gotten a Good Job offer in Arizona & the company made an acceptation to wait for me to attend the RUSH in RENO concert I left the next day for AZ BTW , I like PW GUP HYF good enough, BUT Really like RTB Presto & Counterparts

Signals, I remember Exactly what I felt, Betrayed Became hooked on Rush after seeing them in 1979 Bought Moving Pictures in 1980 at an obscure music store up in Carson City Nevada where I visiting a new girl friend Bought every album & indulged for 2 years in RUSH....... Anticipation for this album for me was the highest ever OMG, couldn't barley get through it, only stand out was the oddity "countdown" ( I was a nasa nerd ) Dis owned RUSH, Years passed & I was hanging with a good friend & he & I went to his friend's house & this guy was a rocker, Me & him had very similar taste in music, After a couple hours he gets very excited to play a particular album. I'm figuring got to be something GREAT with his sudden burst of enthusiasm Pulls out SIGNALS ! I'm like dude, you have NO Idea how BAD I hate Rush right now He doesn't hesitate & now Subdivisions in playing, He's loving it & ya know Subdivisions was kind cool, but NO way could I get through the WHOLE album. Well he some how explained song by song & didn't seem so bad..... Next day was Sunday for me. Almost always smoke a little & listen to an album before Noon I decided to dust off Signals & try it, WTF was I thinking before ? This Album is GREAT ! Never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever will I "lose interest" in RUSH !

I would have been exceptionally pissed if I got there and these four songs were edited out. Just an FYI, sorry if this has been discussed somewhere else. More info up on the RIAB website regarding this Thursday's exclusive dvd song releases on that website. Great ! I was on the fence on this decision, Now I have slipped & racked my balls, OUCH !

Oh Yea, DAILY ! Even when my car is parked @ home, people will stop & take pictures, Drive by slowly cranking "Rush" while waving. But It's when I'm on-shift delivering Pizza for NewYorkPizzaDepartment that I get the most exposure. My pizza joint is in a large crowded shopping mall type place & I have the front foremost parking spot that everybody walks by. I have met ex-roadie's, ex-pilots, old fans, new fans, most recent met Billy Siegle from Fender Guitars & he is Geddys personal representative at Fender. I have delivered to people house's & they have had me come in to see their Rush stuff. People, Strangers, have come inside to find who own's the "Rush" car, just to talk about Rush. FLIP SIDE...... Just as many have NO clue of Who or What Rush is, Or they they will say, oh yea they used to be a band way back ! NO CLUE ! Then there are the "Road Rage" people..... Fan's who have to get next to you just to give you the thumbs up @ 75 mph. I do forget sometime's people are honking & waving because they love RUSH & what I have done to the car to express that. Not True, MY section, 108 ( lower bowl, straight toward satge ) I was 10 rows up, perfect spot ! Opening video no one but ME & my friend are standing, figured when SUBDIVISIONS starts that will get them UP ! Nope, only a few & they sat down pretty quick due to blocking the sitters veiw I Stood until 1/2 way thru the second song, I could hear the people behind me mumbling Thankfully, before the show started I went down to the floor to see some friends & I was able to get past the usher/security Then I made a point to talk to them ( usher & security) on my way back up & made it sound like I had floor seats SO, 1/2 way thru the 1st 1/2 i decided to "crash" the floor so I could stand, We just went down & as I approched the check point (usher) I pointed to some make-belive seats & acted like we were friends & I belonged on the floor, he let us right by We found a spot next to the sound board & stayed there till 2nd half We move up to the back of section D & enjoyed the show, looking back to our sitters in section 108 GOT :rush:

Answer: Some venue's have Season ticket holders seats, these can be owned by brokers/scalpers Venue's have blocks of seat reserved for VIP / Promoters ect Venue also have blocks of seats ( The Best ) set aside for Scalpers /brokers TM / Venue's / fee's all SUCK -------------------------------------------------- Get this, these scalper's make FAR more MONEY than the BANDS ! Example : 100.00 OTD ( 84.00 seat + conv chg + serv fee + other fee ) Ticket for 3rd row Let say that ticket sold for 300.00 from a Scalper so the breakdown might go like this ( 100.00 ) > 25.00 to Venue pocket > 25.00 to promoter > 20.00 actual expence's/costs > 30.00 to the preformer/band > 200.00 Go's to the SCALPER
