  1. I custom designed it & had them made at a sign shop I used 3 ex-girlfriend got 1 and 1 is going to my buddy @ Fender Guitars Got a few extra's left Listed them on e-bay : http://www.ebay.com/...-/191529350917? :D
  2. I had some Custom stickers made for my Soul, highlighting the 2015 tour Removed my "2112" oval & replaced with this current R40 design. Photo........ . http://i994.photobucket.com/albums/af62/GotRush/Soul%20rush%20R40_zps37fiqzk3.jpg
  3. Anything you can think of can be custom made.... here's a simple idea I have been using on my Soul for 6 yrs. . .http://i994.photobucket.com/albums/af62/GotRush/RushPlate.jpg
  4. Funny.... :LMAO: Been a fan since forever & I know just about every song inside & out, especially the 1st 20 yrs. But I happened to play Beneath Between & Behind on You-tube with the lyric's I think I must have memorized my own set of lyrics to fit this song, Cause at least 50% didn't match what Neil wrote :)
  5. Been working 2 jobs for last 7 years to avoid going on government assistance Now, since I found out about the Rush tour :guitar: I work an extra shift once a week to prepare for tickets, travel, & the fact I won't earn a dollar for about 10 days in a row come late July that's about 70.00 minimum per shift, X 19 weeks = $ 1,330.00 setting aside for the Rush 2015 experience ! :7up: :Alex: :Neil: :geddy:
  6. Generally, Rush might be a group you could skip ear protection But, If your in the right place, like mentioned , It's gonna be louder than expected :haz: & If you already have permanent damage, LIKE ME Or, your OLDER, your gonna be more susceptible to damage, even if you don't have the 24/7 tinnitus BUZZ yet. Never, EVER tell somebody they don't need protection just because you've gotten lucky without so far......just bad advice. :tsk: Here is the break down of what caused my head to ring/buzz 24/7 Rock Concerts (1979 - 1985 ) before regular use of protection Brothers whistle ( usually @ rock concerts ) Grand Prix & Indy car race's Large caliber guns Home stereo Car stereo 1st wife :D
  7. I could have written this.... Stupid or Naive when I was young & wouldn't be caught dead wearing ear plugs Was proud to have "ringing" ear for days after loud concerts ! So now I live with a loud buzz in both ears 24/7 I always bring the foam style & use if needed, you can adjust them by how far in you put them They in NO WAY DETRACT FROM THE CONCERT EXPERIENCE
  8. Yes, I'm a Yes man on this One of the 1st things I used internet for was to find set list for the groups I was going to see That was part of the "Pre" Excitement phase of the concert :dweez: But, I also liked going early or even the night before & camp out in the ticket line when tickets were sold that way back in the 1900's You would be there with all the people who love that particular group the most ! ALL the diehard fans would be early, We would play their music & talk about previous shows, WHAT-A-BLAST ! Again, "Pre" concert excitement phase :dweez:
  9. I have wondered the same thing. When DID it become ok to bring kids? Bad idea in general. Esp hard rock shows. Maybe Jack Johnson, okay. Rush? Van Halen? Ozzy? Not so much. In 1977 I saw KISS when I was barely 10. We had nosebleeds at MSG. My brother was 12. Our parents dropped us of at our entry gate and were waiting for us there when we came out. Sure, that happened a lot back then too..... But that's not what I'm talking about. You didn't see Dad & son inside together at these concerts back then. I see parents Now-a-Days say..... but my kid is a "fan" & want's to go My kids listened to me spinning Rush albums from the womb. They even attended a few "Rock" concerts from the womb. They knew all rush's early catalog & classic hard rock But they still never begged, or even asked me to take them to a concert, And, like I said, I never even thought to consider the idea. Must be a generational thing.
  10. Of Course the answer to OP is a simple ..... NO ! :tsk: But when did bringing kids, Any kids, to "rock" concerts become acceptable ? I Guarantee when I saw Rush for the 1st time in 1980, NO parent brought their kid to that show ! Same for ALL the 100's of Rock concerts I attended from lets say 1980/1985 My kids were 8yrs & 10yrs in 1990 & it never ever even crossed my mind to bring them to a rock concert. Was I a bad parent ? I will have to ask them now that they are in there 30's if they felt deprived about this, But I do know they both attend "rock" concerts & have 3 kids each from 4yrs to 15yrs old They have Never brought any of them to these shows Now-A-Days, Unless it's a 21 & over only show, I'm tripping over all these rug rats running around......
  11. Thread stalled 4 sure ........... But what I find amazing , both now & when I was following this back in 2010 / 2012 How much I like RUSH ...... ALL of Rush ! ! :)
  12. I was sure Vegas was going to be the site for RushCon ( mini ) & had planned extra days there I was still gonna try to go to the L.A. Forum show NOW ! I'm sure I'm gonna go to the California RushCon & I'm adding extra days to that trip I'm not totally sure I'm going to Vegas. But probably will due to the RUSHFORUM party @ The Cosmopolitan And because of the A / B set list ( if I didn't do Vegas/Phoenix I would be seeing only the "A" version ) So It's a Lock.... Rush 3x ..... Vegas and the TRF party Phoenix and the Box/Suite party Los Angeles and the RushCon 2015
  13. Yea 19 Short songs....... Rush has at least 19 Long songs !
  14. Turning people on to Rush live is Fantastic ! Now about Brothers ........ My 1st Rush concert in 1980 was with my Brother & life long friend Bryan & opening group, 38 special, cancelled due to transportation failure. We got to arena & Rush was already playing ! Due to that & it was over sold we were force by security to sit in a closed off section 3 rows right behind & between Geddy & Neil. A little peeved thinking it would sound bad & couldn't see, turned out to be as close to "ON STAGE" as one could ask for. Saw Neil from his point of view & really never paid much attention to drummers, But could help but be Amazed ! ! ! Now more about Brothers ........ My most likely my last Rush concert, R40, my Brother has secured 6 Suite/Box seats with full & free service ( booze & food , parking pass's & private bathroom ) complements from his job with a huge liquor company ( they own the suite ) 35 years later it's gonna be the 3 of us again ( plus 3 more ) OMG, for me the total Rush Nut, this is a climax 4 sure !
  15. Simple, Close the show with..... In The End ! Perfect spot & opportunity
  16. I wouldn't mind paying super high prices for the super hot groups, My Problem is, You can't get a "Face Value" good ticket unless your super lucky thru TM or at the Venues own Box Office, even if your are 1st in line at the window ! ! ! ! It's the corporate deals they have with the SH & brokers So the general public & real die-hard Fans have virtually No Chance to get a good regular "face Value" ticket thru the only methods available to us.
  17. Those look just like the 2 I have I tried to find my photo's of the ones that I own, Power Windows w/ actual signature's 2112 w/ actual signature's but I recently moved & can't find picture's & lithographs are tucked away Only a limited amount had a "Live" signature Most were copied/reproduced Mine came with COA & photo's of them signing my Lithograph Bought them about 20 years ago from an art gallery that was distributing them, $500.00 for both Framed them & hung proud in my " :rush: " room. By this summer I will have yet another " :rush: " room / garage / work shop. :7up:
  18. Maybe because they want to make a profit out of those crazy enough to pay for this... I meant to add, We, the people, could stop these brokers by just NOT buying from them But, never would be able to get that to happen Case in Point , Co worker bought tickets for Fleetwood Mac from a broker & paid double & was just bitching & bitchin' I asked why did you use a broker ? He said they were sold out, I said No.... he said it was easier, I said so..... He didn't know any other way....OMG ! I knew they weren't & showed him so on TM site. tickets were pricey, but he paid 300 ea for a 150 face value ticket So like I said, why should they (Legalized Scalpers ) get the MEGA profit, The BAND should reap the benefits of a "high" demand show ! !
  19. Nobody is more pissed off than me about the way tickets are sold now-a-days ! For a fleeting moment I thought Pearl Jam would change things, in 1995 ( not exactly sure of the year ) But they sold tickets with the "buyers" name printed on them & only you. with ID could use them Even if the present ID @ the door method was flawed, they sold EVERY ticket 2 at a time whether you were a Broker or an armature scalper & I would be fine with that, and no problem with selling up to 8 to any person, broker, scalper Etc.... It's the FACT that Huge amounts of tickets goes --------> straight to the Brokers BEFORE any sale's Between that, which is the LARGEST chunk. You still have VIP holds Season ticket holds ( some are broker who buy "season tickets ) Double Wammy is these are always the BEST seats I don't know why the Venue/promoters/artists would put up with this ??? For Example.... lets just say a high demand ticket sells for ( 92+3+5 ) from TM is 100.00 out of pocket Sold to any said fan who get's lucky enough to buy one through the current normal process OK ( totally guessing at these numbers, but it's just an example ) 100.00 dollar transaction $ 8.00 already went to TM ( 3+5 ) $ 30.00 for venue $ 30.00 for promoter $ 30.00 Artist/Band $ 2.00 taxes to city Everybody gets a piece pre-negotiated piece When sold by SH or other brokers :cough: scalpers & sold for $ 300.00 to a fan Venue gets 30 Promoter gets 30 Rush gets 30 WHY WHY Do brokers get 200.00 ! ! ! Why should they make more than Everybody combined  I
  20. I didn't read all the post cause I know from previous tours & posts that most don't want to know & also claim is detracts from the experience. I'm just the opposite, I think it ADD's to the experience :dweez: I make a custom print out & laminate it to bring with me to the show I have a custom ticket holder lanyard type thing I wear & it holds set list too Also make copies cause so many people want to see the set list in advance before & during the show. Like DT, I also make a CD playlist too. But now that I have a "smart" phone I might join DT & just put everything I need in the phone Knowing & planing to "hear" certain songs only, like I said, ADD's to my overall pre-concert & concert experience. So much so that I have done this for most all the 100's of Rock concerts I have seen in the last 10 years. Basically since set lists started showing up on the internet.... Went to STYX a week ago without a set list & felt lost :| I can't wait to see the set list & hoping there with be a "A" & "B" alternating versions cause I'm gonna see 3 shows & 2 are back-to-back I will get all RUSH has to give this tour including the Last Show in L.A. :)
  21. Been listening to Alex very carefully & you can hear it in his tone, he's probably only good for one more big tour And, Due to what is now gonna be a 2 out of 3 vote next time I doubt we will see them again Also, Not one of them have mention any New material, They could play some "New" music on this tour like they did on the Time Machine Tour All I Know is I'm gonna see them 3X this tour & last show in L.A. I will wave goodbye! :hi:
  22. I look at this the other way, We have had 19 yrs of Mega 2 part shows of Pure Rush ! No Band Does This Tour after Tour after Tour ! ! ! The only other group I saw do this was Journey in about 2005, They even called it "An Evening with Journey" Played first 90 minutes of mostly Pre- Steve Perry era journey Then 90 more of Steve Perry era sung by a replacement Steve Perry OMG ! ! WHOLE PLACE WENT INTO OVERLOAD WHEN Separate Ways started about 1/2 way thru the 2nd set (One of those rare concert moments where "Time Stands Still" just Electric! Getting goose-y just thinking about it now.....) They also gave their NEW CD to everyone in attendance, FREE
  23. 1st in Phx in 1979 ( Starting with "Test For Echo" tour I started going to mutable shows per tour ) 21st in L.A. in 2015
  24. ** BUMP ** Since the language used in the press release use's word like Magnitude & Full production, I conclude it's gonna be the 3hr, 2 part, no opener they have been doing for last 20 yrs......... Prove me wrong
  25. Does anyone know for sure if this is gonna be the 2 part show like previous tours ? I know last tour they said no more 3 hrs shows..... Haven't really seen this directly address or verified Are we gonna have an "opening" act this tour ? :|
