I had a rare day today with 3 plus hours of downtime. I'm still sitting on my couch right now enjoying some of it. I had my clubs with me but neither course could get me on where I could play 9 and get back and punch out in 8 hours. So I bought a $10 bucket and hit 75 balls. The signs at the range are way off though. There's no way I hit a 5 hybrid 225. That's my 3 would on my absolute best day.

Today my wife had 4 of the 5 letters correct by the 2nd guess. It still took her 6 tries😅😅

I have been so freaking annoyingly consistent. I start to make progress in one area and then something else goes to hell and I still finish with a 50. Although I did par 2 holes on Friday which is the 1st time that that's happened in one round. I choked 3 others.

Ugh. Today was not the day. Even my driver and 3 wood, which is where I feel strongest right now let me down for the most part. I watched a wedge lesson with some Brit on YouTube after I posted this morning and it helped somewhat, but now I have to completely re-adjust how hard I swing. And the 3 nice drives I did have were ruined when I yanked my 2nd shots to the right on all 3 holes.

3. Oof I am currently sitting at my regular course right now waiting for the rest of my group to arrive. I drop my daughter off at seminary at 6 AM and it's not worth going back home for 30 minutes, so I get here early and relax for an hour. I love just sitting here as the sun starts to come up. I always think "today is the day." There are 2 holes left on this course that I've still never parred. It will happen whenever I figure out how to hit a 30 yard wedge.

Well, the league should actually do that anyway. Switch to a 2-tier system

We have won 2 since the cubs last World Series championship. They were just credited to the cheating b****** Red Sox and Astros. A-Rod was unjustly suspended for a year and we would have won that year as well, so I count that 1 too. Oh. And then there was that damn 10-minute plague of bugs in Cleveland. I think that gives us 31. Yep, sounds about right😁 I found 7 or 8 more as well going back to about 1960 or so.

Watched my first Celtics game in years tonight. Scott Foster was the ref. In his previous 21 non-Game 1 playoff games, the trailing team was 19-2. That's freaking ridiculous, and he did his best again to give the game to the Nets. But you can't give a game to a team that just doesn't want it. Sweep. Big Charmin (Durant) is on his way to Cancun right about now.

I collected hockey cards for one year in either 77 or 78. I had never even watched a single NHL game at that point, I was only 8 years old or so. I don't even know how many packs I bought, but the only card I remember was LaFleur's, because I thought "Guy" was odd name. All I ever knew about him was from reading the back of his card, and saw that he scored a lot of goals.

Okay I know I said I didn't want to speculate, but I have been thinking about this and... Everything I've read from anyone who was close with Taylor has said he's been clean of the heavy stuff for years, ever since that scary overdose in the early 00s. I know relapses happen, and I'm not an addict so I don't personally understand what it is that addicts go through, but do relapses really happen with coke and heroine and prescriptions and everything else that was in his system all at once? I'm asking honestly, because I don't want to make any assumptions about a field I know very little about. It just strikes me, a totally uneducated person on this topic, as completely out of character with everything I've heard about him in his past 20 years or so. I just don't understand what would drive someone to mix all that together in their system at once after being clean of the really bad stuff for so long. Can anyone enlighten me? Does this sort of thing happen when you're addicted? Addicts are the best of liars, especially to those close to them. Good gosh the stories I could tell. Alcohol destroyed the last 10 years or so of my parents marriage while my mom was alive and now it is destroying my dad's new marriage and he refuses to acknowledge that he has a drinking problem. The strange thing is once upon a time, he did. He admitted he was an alcoholic. But now he is in complete denial.

I bought the 1st album with Hogarth when it came out not knowing that Fish was gone. I don't think I got through side one. Still listen to Childhood and Clutching quite often. I have a bootleg of their opening set from the Power Windows tour in Springfield in 86. I just remember Fish was very tall and the bass player was very short.

I've seen Kiss twice on their current farewell tour. :) I saw the makeup reunion tour in '96 from the 2nd row for 45 bucks. Stanley could still sing then. That was enough.
