  1. Thank you for doing this! I've had the CD set (and DVD) since the day it came out, and I had no idea there was a bonus video of Vital Signs on the CD! Could you share how you extracted this? I put the 3rd CD in my disk drive of my MacBook Pro, and I can't find anything besides the tracks. All the same, thank you for your restoration work and for posting it on YouTube! :)
  2. Necromancer - Neil Didacts and Narpets - Pretty sure it's Neil and Alex together...the "Listen" bit sounds iike Alex to me. 2112 Grand Finale - Neil (Alex and Terry Brown confirm it on the DVD interview on the 2016 CD Remaster) Cygnus X-1 - Terry Brown (confirmed in B-Man's "Rush Visions" book) Witch Hunt - All three, but Neil's doing most of the yelling Subdivisions - Neil (he confirmed it himself when Jacob Moon covered the song and posted it on YouTube) Red Lenses - Neil and Alex ("It's True!") Show Don't Tell - low voice is Geddy Chain Lightning - Alex ("That's Nice") Roll The Bones (rap) - Geddy Alien Shore - Alex (funny voice intro) Double Agent - Geddy Headlong Flight - I'm pretty sure it's Geddy right before the drum solo. I think I remembered everything!
  3. My emotional moments were: -The Scottish fan telling his story of survival set to 'Everyday Glory.' -The reception at the HOF; that was beyond moving! Seeing Geddy's wife in tears perfectly sums up that moment. -Geddy and Alex walking arm in arm back to their dressing room after the final show. More than 40 years of deep friendship. Right. There. That's when my tears came down.
  4. Hear Again, I realize I'm asking you to remember 40-year old specifics, but if parts of The Fountain were truly played at Massey Hall, does the following sound about right to you: -The Necromancer (up until the end of the narration "...trapped in his lair...") -Didacts and Narpets drum solo -Bacchus Plateau -Panacea -The Necromancer (final movement) Looking at that rather vicious review article from the show, maybe that author wasn't full of it after all...and I could see Rush organizing a medley like this with maybe a verse or two cut from "The Fountain" songs. What do you think??
  5. Predictably, Hitler has a meltdown...a big one. http://youtu.be/DpBWRJlbBCA
  6. Union, listen to Alex's ending solo on "The Wreckers." He never plays it the same, and the Buffalo solo is the only one that matches up with official R40.
  7. OK, I found it after finding the bootlegs. "The Wreckers" comes from Buffalo, NY. :) Here is the corrected list: Clockwork Angels--Denver, CO (July 11th) The Wreckers--Buffalo, NY (June 10th) The Camera Eye--Kansas City, MO (July 9th) Losing It (w/Jonathan Dinklage)--L.A., CA (Aug. 1st)
  8. Well, it turns out I was wrong about "The Wreckers" coming from Kansas City. After listening to all the available versions on Youtube, I've narrowed it down to two locations which I cannot seem to find at the moment: Buffalo, NY or Phoenix, AZ It has to be one of these two as I could hear all of the other performances on Youtube, and they don't match up. The give-away is Alex's ending solo during the last minute. Anyone want to find out which performance was used? :) At least we all know "The Camera Eye" is 100% KC (and I do know the other songs are correct too)!
  9. After comparing the bonus tracks with various bootleg videos on youtube, here is where I think they were all recorded: Clockwork Angels--Denver, CO (July 11th) The Wreckers--Kansas City, MO (July 9th) The Camera Eye--Kansas City, MO (July 9th) Losing It (w/Jonathan Dinklage)--L.A., CA (Aug. 1st) Still waiting to hear confirmation from Anthem (hoping they'll take the time to do so). I'm very happy that two KC songs made it as that was the show I was at!
  10. I am 99% certain "The Camera Eye" comes from Kansas City (yay for me!!). I have the boot of that show, and there's a slight mistake Alex makes in the intro, and the way Geddy sings at the end "Focus is sharp in the city....baby!" Both of these unique factors match up perfectly with what's on the CD. Still trying to figure out "The Wreckers." I also have an email out to SRO-Anthem in hopes they will answer.
  11. Dancing With The Moonlit Knight (1st song off of 'Selling England By The Pound'). Neil always has interesting, yet appropriate song choices IMHO. :)
  12. SPOILER below... I know Rush played "Roll The Bones" on the opening night in Tulsa. Does anyone know if the song is a constant in the setlist, or is it one of the tunes that gets swapped? If it's a swapper, PLEASE don't tell me what song takes its place! I just want to know if the song is being played every night or not. Thanks!
  13. 'Subdivisons' is definitely Neil. He confirmed it when he was talking about a solo, looping guitarist who covered the song a few years ago...his name escapes me at the moment. I think the journal entry (at the time) is now in his "Far and Away" book.
  14. Do you recall where you read it EagleMoon? You know, I swear I hear James Earl Jones in there too. ;)
  15. Thank you for the replies. I ended up splitting, and keeping a backup of the full 20 minute song. Personally, I think it works well split up, but I still like it as one file too. I also agree with the viewpoint that 2112 works best as one complete song.
  16. According to the Rush Visions book (B-Man), it's Terry Brown on Cygnus X-1. Plus, you can make out a British accent which gives it away.
  17. Pointless topic, but curious what you all think: I picked up the vinyl reissue of COS (which sounds great btw!), and noticed how the songs in TFOL are listed separately. As I do with my all my vinyl, I digitized the album, and got to thinking: What would be the better way to go; making 6 separate tracks, or just keeping TFOL as a 20 minute track as is done on all the CD issues? How do you all prefer your TFOL? ;)
  18. I'm a bit late on reading the replies! I don't think the voice is Terry Brown because I don't hear a British accent (he is the intro voice on Cygnus X-1 though). I'm going to guess and say it's both Neil and Alex in unison. Hope to find out for certain someday!
  19. I realize I'm referencing "The B-Man," but according to his Visions book, it's Geddy screaming with lots of echo.
  20. I'm just curious if anyone knows who is doing the dialog with Geddy during the drum solo on "Didacts and Narpets." I used to think it was Neil, but on closer listening, I'm now thinking it is Alex. Does anyone know for sure?
