  1. QUOTE (Strangiato @ Sep 28 2011, 04:22 PM) I'll upload it to youtube tonight when it's done if anyone wants. Yes Please. Canada is shut out of this one as far as I can see.
  2. QUOTE (presto123 @ Sep 15 2011, 03:00 PM) Wow. This will be cool for even non drummers as it includes every song. Must buy for me. ...incuding a non-screwed up version of Presto, which makes it a must-have for me since I don't think they'll fix the Cleveland mistake.
  3. Pro-rate the money that Rush would have made off of Moving Pictures when it first came out to today's dollars. Or, back-spin Bieber's earnings to 1981 and see if it's any closer.
  4. QUOTE (PolarizeMe @ Apr 26 2011, 09:55 PM) They screwed up on the Snakes DVD? I didn't even catch any screw ups the last time I watched the DVD in full and I'm one of those people would immediately notice something wrong audio or video wise. Check out Alex's solo at the end of "Mission". Neil is out of sync with his drum part. I guess it is a minor thing, but given how riveting I found that song on that tour, I listened to it on youtube and via bootleg tons from different venues, so I noticed it right away. It's nothing like Presto in terms of a screw-up, but it's there....and truthfully, I don't mind it now. It's a nice quirk in one version of the song to my ear.
  5. QUOTE (PolarizeMe @ Apr 26 2011, 06:15 PM) I don't mind if they do keep the mistake in Presto in the finished product, but knowing Rush's nature of always fixing up live recordings in the scenario that there were screw ups during recording, (the ESL CD had intense overdubbing) they will most likely fix the mistake by overdubbing the audio and pan to the audience or someone like Alex to make the mistake inconspicuous on camera. I dunno. they didn't do that on the Snakes dvd. Besides, the mindset might be different these days since they would know everyone and their dog would have seen or heard parts of the show via youtube, torrents, etc....and everyone knows about the mistake already. We'll see.
  6. QUOTE (SeamusWiles @ Apr 25 2011, 02:01 PM) QUOTE (Sir Lerxst @ Apr 25 2011, 12:19 PM) I just had a thought about "Presto". Neil recorded an entire show during the 2010 leg (I believe it was the PNC Centre in NJ), for his Instructional Recording he is releasing later this year. Now, I'd imagine that most of the cameras will be focused on Neil (for obvious reasons), however, I would be surprised if they had no footage of Alex and Geddy at all - they could also mix in the wide angle, 'blimp-cam' and audience shots from the Cleveland recording into the PNC Recording to get one, mistake free version of Presto. Just a thought. I don't know, what if they were wearing different clothes or something? It would look too obvious... like 2112 in ASOH when Alex's guitar mysteriously changes in the middle of the song lol Ideally they should include a bonus vid of Presto filmed at another show, without the glitch. Even the one Neil filmed for his instructional one would work, I guess. They'll leave it in, I have no doubt about that. they left in the slight glitch on the solo at the end of Mission onthe Snakes dvd, too. Let it ride, warts and all. (They will also likely see too much humour in the glitch correcting itself with Geddy singing "I'm just improvising" to fix it...) I'm a bit bummed by it as it's my favourite part of the song and it would be a high point for me on the dvd, but this will at least be memorable in it's own way once it's released. ...FWIW I've noticed some "strained" transitions on a few other boots from this leg of the tour on the song Presto as neil has slightly changed his drum fills and Alex has added some additional guitar soloing as well. I would suggest that the culmination of these subtleties working their way into the setlist = inevitable trainwreck. Pity it happened on dvd night but whatareyagonnado?
  7. QUOTE (shaun3701 @ Dec 6 2010, 02:31 PM) no, no, and no. There are much better songs to bring back than these. ..but are there more LIKELY songs to be brought back than these? especially Bravado.
  8. QUOTE (GrandDesigner @ Jun 28 2010, 12:36 PM) QUOTE (theworkingman @ Jun 28 2010, 12:30 PM) What the f**k is it with people and Stick it Out? Show me somewhere where that goddamn song was "confirmed" and not just mentioned as a possible idea. And the fact that it was posted by 2 people doesn't really mean anything. I could copy and paste it and that would be three people. I had this problem with Superconductor being thrown around. But Stick It Out actually WAS mentioned by the band in some interview done awhile back. I'm sure if you check out RIAB you can find it. See my post in the other setlist thread, I noted where it was mentioned and how.
  9. QUOTE (theworkingman @ Jun 28 2010, 12:30 PM) What the f**k is it with people and Stick it Out? Show me somewhere where that goddamn song was "confirmed" and not just mentioned as a possible idea. And the fact that it was posted by 2 people doesn't really mean anything. I could copy and paste it and that would be three people. LOL...I just posted the same thing in the other setlist thread...a little more diplomatically, though.
  10. The whole "Stick it Out" thing was mentioned on "the Hour" and was in response to a question about a song that Alex loves and Geddy hates (or vice-versa, can't remember). they joked about Stick It Out as being one Neil hates to play. That was it. I don't take that as confirmation that the song is being played. It could very well have just been discussed and discarded due to Neil's objections. I imagine lots of songs go through the same process. i'm not saying it won't be played, but I don't believe it has been "confirmed"...unless it came up somewhere else from the Band and I missed it. that's possible, i don't claim to know everything. I'd personally rather it isn't played but if it is, no problem.
  11. QUOTE (Hemispheres89 @ Jun 16 2010, 10:18 PM) In fact, the only thing that makes me retract these feelings whatsoever, is the whole "2112 in daylight" ordeal, but that's not based on personal opinion; it's based on how other people feel, so it makes me change my mind. What is the actual percentage of shows being played outdoors, as opposed to indoor venues?
  12. I don't remember ever hearing that myself.
  13. QUOTE (BrightAntennae @ Jun 8 2010, 08:36 AM) As The Wind Blows Fry Cry . . . . . . (just messin with ya...)
  14. Actually if he found an impeccablly trustworthy person on this board, he could PM him the setlist, on the condition that it absolutely not be revealed until the conclusion of opening night. Once the show's over, Score Out's setlist gets posted and this gets settled once and for all. I'm sure someone here (besides myself, lol) is trustworthy enough that this could happen.
  15. QUOTE (snowdog212 @ Jun 4 2010, 07:41 PM) Its a work in progress when Neil spoke Who knows maybe the songs that they never played live were tried and didnt make the setlist This is probably the best post of the thread.
  16. QUOTE (roadqueen @ May 24 2010, 03:03 PM) So Far Cry would be a kick ass opener hit or no hit. Far Cry will be the opener on their 2011 tour.
  17. QUOTE (Score Out @ May 21 2010, 09:59 AM) Unless they seriously tore up the setlist they designed a couple months ago and brought into rehearsals and suddenly rearranged everything on Day 1 (which would all the production people pretty upset I suspect) this isn't close to accurate. So, how many songs in that setlist are wrong based on what you know?
  18. QUOTE (WIDE-ANGLE WATCHER @ May 6 2010, 09:32 AM) In the true spirit of a Time Machine I would love them to open with Finding My Way or Anthem, maybe Bastille Day. That won't happen unless they do another medley like R30. No vocals. Having said that, a medley at some point in the show, like during the encore, would not surprise me in the least.
  19. QUOTE (Brava Doh! @ Apr 22 2010, 05:46 AM) It'll be Freewill. *BUMP*
  20. I would like to see the original ending brough back for this tour, too, while I think of it. The chorus repeat ending is cool, but there are a lot of cool bass parts in the faster ending on the original studio version of the track. That's how they played it on the Signals tour, and I'd like to see it.
  21. QUOTE (rushbass @ May 27 2007, 03:22 PM) Yep, its only been played twice live (Signals and CP Tour) - bring TAK back! It was also added to the second leg of the North American Tour in 1992 (Roll the Bones). I love this song also, it could become a tour staple quite easily and not bother me any!
  22. QUOTE (Drumnut @ Jun 13 2006, 06:07 PM) Brava Doh! Love your avatar! Thanks. An oldie but a goodie...
