I deeply and sincerely apologize for my comments about the Counterparts board being down. I did not realize that the board had such a vast history of its role in the bigger picture.

That's cool. Both TRF and CP have served as lifeboats to one another in the past, and both have their place in the "Rush message board" universe.

    Recalibrating sarcasm meter.

    Nope. Nada. Nix. No reading.

    Arselicking post detected.

It's TRF...when I'm here, I'm not the same asshole you know and love from CP. (Which explains why I'm not here that often!)

What is up with the Counterparts Board being constantly down?

This forum has never had these kinds of problems since the time I have been here.

I think I might consider unsubscribing from that board.

I really wish the Counterparts board would get it together and to please stop being down so much. Or maybe the whole board should be canceled altogether.

I like this cat! He/she would be a perfect fit for CP!

    You sucked his cock!

How else would you explain that look on his face?

The weekend starts in 35 minutes for me. Instead of posting shit on a Rush Forum I might as well dip a toe into real life. Failing that I'll go watch Star Trek instead.

I saw Star Trek last night...I came very close to walking out. I don't care that they messed with canon (and they came up with a fairly clever way of doing so), but all the f*cking gags and horrible carricatures were just too much. The "new" Checkov and Scotty rival Jarjar Binks for the most annoying movie characters ever.

Nobody would dare do a remake of Gilligan's Island, thankfully. I'm pretty sure it is too ingrained into the national consciousness for anybody to accept other actors in those roles.

I hope you're right. BUT it didn't stop them from making a reality show based on GI. And there were a few tv movies made after the show was cancelled that didn't use the same GINGER actress.

That would be Tina Louise who played Ginger. I think there was some friction behind the scenes regarding that actress.

In the seventies, she played on The Stepford Wives movie and Look What's Happened to Rosemary's Baby.

She was such a hottie in her day!

Hey... if you like Heavy Metal, you may also like one of my favorite animated movies - Ralph Bakshi's Wizards. It's been panned in every movie guide, but it has something of a cult following. I'm into it, and I own it.

I saw Wizards in the theater way back when it was new. I liked it, but I was maybe 12 at the time. Not sure if I'd like it now.

Alex's most emotional guitar solo EVER.

Great guitar work throughout... very moody.

Alex said the solo was heavily influenced by Steve Hacket.

Another favorite musical moment is Alex's flub near the beginning of Closer To The Heart (studio version). The intro is played on a 12 string and Alex accidentially strikes the same note twice during the intro.

Fer shame, Alex doesn`t make mistakes ! Your ear-needle just skipped !
