  1. Impossible; she didn't start riding the red BMW until the Test For Echo tour.
  2. I reached out on Facebook to a mutual friend from the CP days (Dust of the Stars), she is going to text ORF and let him know that he's been missed here. As far as she knows, he is fine and virus-free. Hopefully we hear from him soon.
  3. Wow, The Grand Illusion and Point of Know Return are both top-5 all time albums for me, but Animals is the single greatest album ever recorded, by anyone, ever. Period.
  4. Weird year for me; I was 25, married for a year, and had pretty much gotten away from the metal and prog of my youth and mostly listened to what was probably considered Adult Oriented Rock. Most listened to albums from 1988, at the time, were Steve Winwood - Roll With It, Traveling Wilburys Vol. 1, REM - Green, and Big Audio Dynamite - Tighten Up Vol. 88. Now, with the advantage of time and later discoveries, I had to go with Justice.
  5. Interesting for me since by now I had strayed away from a lot of the prog and metal of my youth and was more in to punk/new wave, etc. I went with Dire Straits but my favorite album from 1985 is "This Is Big Audio Dynamite".
  6. "How can you cry over someone you didn't know?" That's the thing isn't it? We did know him. If you think about it, as private of a person as he was, through his numerous writings; lyrics, books, website blogs, etc., I think we probably knew him better than we know Ged or Al.
  7. Just a heads up, I got a PM from this guy: I ignored it because I vaguely remembered there being some B.S. from someone about Le Studio in the past (this thread...)
  8. This was posted on the Counterparts FB page yesterday, I assume it's from Joe/FJ:
  9. He has posted on Facebook that he accidentally logged out and now cant log back in. Apparently the site owners need to update something with the Captcha program?
  10. You have to be trusted by the people that you lie to So that when they turn their backs on you, You'll get the chance to put the knife in
  11. Yes, used to be on CP; lurk here but hardly ever post. But no worries ORF, you're not late, you already gave me birthday wishes on Facebook. Maybe you never made the connection, but I'm the guy that always posts barbecue pics.
  12. 10% Brian 20% Allison 20% Brad 50% Spicoli
  13. The Grandson: Grandpa, maybe you could come over and read it again to me tomorrow? Grandpa: As you wish.
  14. QUOTE "Hey...Dad? Do you wanna have a catch?" "I'd like that." Gets me every time.
  15. That bar that they show them in in a few of those scenes, that's my local hangout, Frenchy's in Roselle Park, NJ, 2 blocks from me. Mickey and Marisa were there filming back in late spring/early summer.
  16. Do you think MP got TRF confused with CP. I mean, it's bad over there, I've been a member there longer than here and am more active there, and there is some big time DT hating at CP (much of it is in good fun), I just never got that same vibe here.
  17. QUOTE (Margana @ Sep 17 2006, 03:11 PM) As someone who is just getting into Dream Theater, I have watched the Score DVD and am suitably impressed. However, could someone tell me (and I hope it is for technical reasons) why Mike Portny has a mirror as part of his kit? I believe the mirror was to allow him to see the conductor/orchestra.
  18. Dream Theater Black Sabbath Yes Kansas Jethro Tull Pink Floyd Spock's Beard ELP
