I thought the first one was like a softcore Cinemax porn with some gore thrown in. It wasn't scary or disturbing, and the gore (especially the terrible looking eye scene) wasn't even good. I'll probably watch part 2 if it's on HBO or something, but that's it.

Anyways, I just bought The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me by Brand New... it's their newest, came out last year. It's a fantastic record. Anybody who's already or looking to get into Brand New, BUY IT.
That was my favorite album of last year. I had the cover in my signature for a while.

One of Terry Gilliam's best movies, Depp's best performance, and Benicio Del Toro rules too. Great movie! The Criterion Collection edition is one of the best DVDs I have too.

I grew up reading Marvel, so I'm a bit of a mark for most of their characters. Not to say Batman and Green Lantern don't rock too, I just know far less about the DC universe.

I liked about the last hour of the movie...which isn't that good for a nearly three hour movie I guess. Depp rules as usual though, and the action was good.
I'm with Mustard about FF2 also...I love the Silver Surfer character, but the first FF movie blew and the previews for this one look bad too. The guy who plays Johnny annoys the shit out of me for some reason.

But yeah, Ichi's pretty great. So was Audition... haven't seen any other Miike films, unfortunately.
Oh shit, you gotta watch Izo! Top 10 movie for me. It's not as graphic as some of Miike's other stuff, but it's way out there, even for Miike. I remember seeing the DVD for sale at Walmart too.

Eraserhead, man thats a bizarre film. The bit when you finally see the non stop crying baby!The movie was VERY loosely based on serial killer Ed Gein. About the only connection was that him and Leatherface wore human skin. The part where the grandpa is trying to hit the girl with the hammer is hilarious to me though.
After so many years of being desensitized by horror movies, it's hard for me to really be disturbed by something, but I do remember one scene that got me...the curbstomp from American History X. Now it's not so bad, but the first time seeing it...

Nah, that part just always seemed goofy to me. The rest of the movie is so dark and creepy, then they bring out that ancient looking old guy like "get'er grandpa!"
There's things that make me cringe though, like broken bones sticking out (The Descent).

I really like the Genndy Tartakovsky animated Clone Wars. This one could be cool, but I'm kind of getting tired of CGI at the moment.

4/10It wasn't over three hours, but yeah it was long, and felt longer than it was. It really wasn't that good except for the last 40 or so minutes. The action at the end was cool. Also, it was just goofy as hell. The other two had funny moments, but this one was like one stupid joke after another for most of the movie.

To me the open ending was anything but unconventional. It's so cliche and one of the best shows of all time should've gone out so much better than that. Aside from Phil and Uncle Junior, I thought the whole episode was shit.
