  1. Ice Cube was one of best, it's sad how far he fell. I love rap though, f**k it. http://www.myspace.com/larsonmusic That's my buddy's joke rap persona. Listen to the song "A Million Miles". I produced it and rap as "El Berzerko". It's totally not serious.
  2. Just as long as there's no Rodimus Prime or Ultra Magnus I'm good.
  3. QUOTE Guest appearances will also come from Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails, Omar Rodriguez-Lopez and Cedric Bixler-Zavala of The Mars Volta, James McNew of Yo La Tengo, Tunde Adebimpe of TV on the Radio, Chan "Cat Power" Marshall, and former Chavez and Zwan guitarist Matt Sweeney. Sounds even better! March.....
  4. El-P's I'll Sleep When You're Dead is the big hip hop album I'm looking forward to this year. Trent Reznor and Cedric from The Mars Volta are on it. Fantastic Damage is one of my favorite hip hop albums so it'll be hard to top, but it's looking good.
  5. QUOTE (PuppetKing2112 @ Jan 23 2007, 06:22 PM) I don't know, they had Radiohead, the Cure, and the Pixies in 2004. Are you going. I want to, but I doubt it. I have to go to my wife's sister's graduation in Iowa around the same time though. NEVER GET MARRIED.
  6. The Beatles. This was the easiest poll ever for me.
  7. http://www.coachella.com/poster/web480.jpg OH MY GOD. Rage Against the Machine Bjork Interpol Peeping Tom El-P Gogol Bordello RHCP The Arcade Fire The Decemberists Ghostface Killah Pharoahe Monch The Roots Against Me! Lupe Fiasco The Coup Best Coachella EVER.
  8. Things Fall Apart is my favorite Roots album. The live arrangement of "You Got Me" is amazing. I agree that they've never made a bad album. Even The Tipping Point, which is their most straight forward hip hop record, is really good.
  9. and I would LOVE to hear that scrapped stuff Zack did with El-P from Def Jux as well as the Trent material. I bet it was good.
  10. Freaking sweet! Also, Hot Cross - Risk Revival. Feb. 20...another release on my birthday.
  11. QUOTE (wayshway @ Jan 22 2007, 01:48 AM) I sooo love this show. I've been a fan of it since the beginning. One of these days we might get the movie and season 9. I highly recommend "Black Books" another one of the greatest BBC shows ever. Lovin the new Doctor Who series as well. ttyl Bobby I really hope the movie gets made. I've been getting my hopes up for too long though. I marked out when I saw Cat in Blade II, but none of my friends knew who it was.
  12. QUOTE (treeduck @ Jan 22 2007, 02:21 AM) Yeah great series, here's one of my favourite episodes in it's entirety for your viewing pleasure... Gunmen of the Apocalypse part 1 Gunmen of the Apocalypse part 2 Gunmen of the Apocalypse part 3 GREAT episode. My favorite is Back to Reality. Jake Bullet
  13. QUOTE (PuppetKing2112 @ Jan 21 2007, 02:11 AM) QUOTE (PuppetKing2112 @ Jan 13 2007, 01:18 PM) Might be seeing the Roots at the Crystal Ballroom on February 5. And done. Ticket bought. I'm pumped. I saw The Roots in DC during one of MTV's 2 Dollar Bill things. It was awesome, they're better live than they are on record.
  14. QUOTE (PuppetKing2112 @ Jan 21 2007, 02:52 PM) Apparently, RATM/Audioslave guitarist Tom Morello is going to release a solo album on April 24, under the psuedonym "The Nightwatchman." It's supposed to be all acoustic. This coming at the same time as rumors of an RATM reunion for Coachella...I'm down. I hope they reunite. Audioslave sucks and Zack needs to do something besides play bongo drums in a mariachi band or whatever the hell he was doing.
  15. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H_Nq20J0kiE Time to start watching it from the beginning again.
  16. Holy crap, it's going to be another great year of music for me. I just saw a bulletin on Myspace that Poison the Well have a new album coming out on April 3. They're the only "hardcore" band I've ever absolutely loved, and when they started getting more melodic they got even better. I'm very interested to see where they've gone now. Also, Rush is Ryan Primack's favorite band. I got a hand drawn flyer from them and it had stick figures of the band with which instrument they play written under them, but Ryan's just said "LOVES RUSH!" http://www.myspace.com/poisonthewell
  17. http://a814.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/25/l_f2d9f2375621a50bf230e4633dc1f075.jpg My most anticipated. Besides Rush, of course.
  18. http://www.nosleeprecs.com/images/releases/nsr002.jpg Small Leaks Sink Ships - Until The World Is Happy, Wake Up You Sleepyhead Sun - February 13. Good indie type of band.
  19. Minus the Bear has a remix album coming out on my birthday. http://www.myspace.com/minusthebear The "Drilling" remix sounds pretty cool to me, and I loved the original version of the album so word @ that.
  20. That American Gladiators part always cracks me up. I've said "let's roll" to the wife so many times before we go somewhere. I vote funny.
  21. I saw a jump rope competition on ESPN2 one time...and for god knows whatever reason I was watching pool and one of the commentators said "if you don't leave here loving nine ball, YOU DON'T HAVE A PULSE!"
  22. QUOTE (The Rocinante @ Jan 14 2007, 02:55 PM) QUOTE (Necromancer @ Jan 13 2007, 07:15 AM) Now see the entire set. Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, and Clerks II. I heard the rest of the set was awfu (except for Clerks II, which got pretty good reviews). Having seen 'Dogma', I have to agree that it was no 'Clerks' I think they're all good. Chasing Amy is probably my favorite besides Clerks. The others are pretty immature but hilarious.
  23. "would you like some making f**k"
  24. Munsters was funnier and they had a cool car.
  25. Pulp Fiction used to be my favorite, but I think Kill Bill Vol. 1 is now. The atmosphere in the theater was great and the movie was so overtop I couldn't help but love it. I've got a huge vinyl poster in my living room. The f*cker almost covers the entire section of wall it's on.
