  1. Red Dwarf Futurama Cowboy Bebop The Simpsons The X-Files
  2. Seinfeld, easily. That 70s Show was good at first, but I lost interest after a while. It became the same jokes over and over...ho ho Red's gonna put his foot in Eric's ass again. Seinfeld has so many memorable moments for me.
  3. QUOTE (PuppetKing2112 @ Aug 9 2007, 05:25 PM) As promised in my Green Day thread, I picked up Against Me!'s New Wave. Never heard a note of this band in my life. But I think I'll like it. Also picked up the new Common album, Finding Forever, which is pretty dope, as well as the deluxe edition of DJ Shadow's Endtroducing.... Nice, I'd like to know what you think of that Against Me! I was just thinking about it, and now that they're getting more popular I think their concerts will change, unfortunately... I'll miss that... "It was fun while it lasted"
  4. Hey it's the guy from those Outback commercials. "Can I get candles on my steak?"
  5. QUOTE (Mustard Death @ Aug 5 2007, 03:49 PM) Geekdom can be a very fun thing... I love Star Wars and LOTR, and have seen every movie in both series multiple times. I even read a book version of the original SW trilogy, and used to read some of the spinoff material However, I've actually never watched Star Trek other than seeing random episodes from time to time. I've also never read or seen any of the Harry Potters. Not that I have anything against either series, I guess I just never got around to it. But I think I can add something to this thread... I enjoy a lot of anime. I'm not too hardcore into it, but I like a lot of different animes and watched the complete series of most of them when I was younger. Now I'm trying to acquire funds to buy some on DVD... these include Mobile Suit Gundam, Gundam Wing, Dragon Ball Z, Ghost in the Shell, Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, Outlaw Star, and FLCL (Fooly Cooly)... and probably a few more I can't remember. Oh, and I love video games >_> http://rickdakan.com/archives/Geek-Mafia-Web-Res-Cover.jpg I'm a proud anime geek. I think if most anime haters could get past their preconceived notions of what anime is, shows like Cowboy Bebop would be heralded as classic sci-fi by almost everyone. Anime is like the bastard child of geekdom...even Star Wars nerds look down on us. Hey MD, there's this newer anime I recommend if you haven't seen it...Black Lagoon. I just started watching it and there's only two DVDs out so far, but if the series keeps going like it is, it'll be up there with Cowboy Bebop, FLCL, Berserk, Saikano, and Outlaw Star to me. It's balls out and rules. I also love the typical comic/horror/fantasy/videogame geek stuff, but those don't get as much shit as anime.
  6. Gotta be the 80s for me...all those stupid kid adventure movies and b horror flicks are my thing. Plus my favorite movie of all time (Brazil) came out in the 80s.
  7. He's the only person I've ever watched just talk for four hours. His story about Prince in An Evening with Kevin Smith is hilarious.
  8. QUOTE (Slime @ Aug 4 2007, 03:56 PM) Probably as far as American cartoons are concerned. There might be some longer running shows in Japan, but I'm not sure. Doesn't a forum this size have at least ONE anime geek?? I'd probably be the anime geek here. I'm not sure but it may very well be Sazae-san. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sazae-san
  9. I love this movie, already have the first edition DVD and will probably get this one too. I was up there gyratin'...takin' care of business!
  10. QUOTE (doubled_mystic @ Aug 4 2007, 12:12 AM) that was pretty funny, porbably would have been better if I could understand half of what he was saying. Slime, in answer to your question, go chronoligically, but skip CHasing Amy as it is the worst of Kevin Smith's films except for Jersey Girl. Mallrats, Dogma and Jay and Slient Bob Strike Back are all worth seeing. Chasing Amy is the best one after the original Clerks.
  11. The answer lies in the magical film known as Commando. Ahnuld's a wuss now, but that movie is enough to keep him at #1 forever.
  12. I love the first Gorillaz album. The remix album too. Thought the second one sucked besides three songs and they all ended up being singles. I don't know much Blur other than that whoo hoo song.
  13. QUOTE (Snowdog @ Jul 29 2007, 02:49 PM) Robert Downey Jr. as a Superhero??? They could/should have done better than him. I think I'll wait for the DVD. Tony Stark is sort of a bastard though, not a traditional superhero. I think he's perfect for the role.
  14. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fVRQjCG8tn4 I'm sure a better version will pop up soon if it hasn't already, but this looks awesome.
  15. I saw it this morning and thought it was good. Much funnier than any episode in years.
  16. QUOTE (JohnnyBlaze @ Jul 25 2007, 10:13 AM) That flick is like a poor man's (or boy's) Goonies. But enjoyable nonetheless That's true, it is a poor man's Goonies, but Goonies doesn't have a scene where Dracula destroys a kid's treehouse with dynamite.
  17. I kept thinking my favorite wasn't going to be on there, but it was #1.
  18. http://ec1.images-amazon.com/images/I/61F-bLZ93TL._SS500_.jpg I know someone else loves this movie too. Wolfman has nards.
  19. I have a 30 GB iPod, and full albums just off the top of my head: Every Rush album Every Dire Straits album Every Glenn Danzig related album (Misfits, Samhain, Danzig) Every Bjork album Every Megadeth, Metallica, Slayer, and popular thrash album you can think of A bunch of death metal albums A bunch of hip hop albums (every Wu-Tang related album from the first 6 years) Every At the Drive-In and Mars Volta album A shitload of Buckethead albums which are probably taking up most of the space Actually looking at it, it's mostly full albums. I don't use my iPod that much, but it's awesome for in the car.
  20. Even though his original movies are a bit goofy (I actually like them though), Rob Zombie has way too much respect for horror movies to f**k up Halloween. This remake will be amazing.
  21. QUOTE (ILSnwdog @ Jul 16 2007, 08:30 PM) QUOTE (pedro2112 @ Jul 16 2007, 08:26 PM) QUOTE (Jack Aubrey @ Jul 10 2007, 06:13 PM) QUOTE (neil#2 @ Jul 10 2007, 08:02 PM) Any one watch it? I watched it when it was funny. Too bad it's not anymore. If one wanted to buy some of the seasons on DVD, what season would be the last funny one they made? I own the first three seasons, and they are all pretty good. One of the season might have a few more episodes, so you could buy based on volume. I don't think you could go wrong with any season though. So far it isn't like South Park. They haven't lost any of the momentum yet. Family Guy hasn't been good since the third season, but South Park is better than ever to me.
  22. Olivia from Attack of the Show said her friend has a small part in the movie and she thinks it might be Voltron, which kinda makes sense why they showed that trailer with Transformers.
  23. Awesome movie, I almost cried at the greatness of it. I loved the part where Megatron sort of scolded Starscream...that was straight from the cartoon, as Starscream was always a bastard. Let's get Soundwave (my favorite) and some of the Dinobots (GRIMLOCK!!) in the next one.
  24. I bought these last Tuesday: Against Me! - New Wave Interpol - Our Love to Admire The Against Me! album is slightly disappointing. I still like it, but AM is better when they're stripped back and screaming. Butch Vig produced the new album and it's a little too slick for them. Piss and Vinegar is the jam though. I really like the song with Tegan (from Tegan & Sara) too. The Interpol album pretty much blew me away though. Great stuff. I listened to it on a late night trip to NC and it was perfect night driving music. It may take the top spot on my best of the year list.
