Do you still not know how to quote someone else's post? Seriously, there's no need to make a new post to reply to something in the previous post, you can combine the two (or more)... See the quote buttons at the bottom right corner of this post>...>...>...>...>...v...v...v...v...v...look down there, they are next to the report and edit buttons. Click quote (or multi quote if you want to put more than one post in your reply), See the last part of the text that looks like this /quote wrapped in brackets that look like these [ ] ? Click the cursor right after that and type your reply. Click post, and presto! your post will have those quotes in them plus your reply all in the same neat, tidy, little, easy to understand and read package.

    I don't think we're talking about anything.
  4. :( I know you're what, 19 now? Did you get to see any? Just turned 20 a couple weeks back. My dad and I saw R40 in Chicago and that was my first concert ever. It was great, but yes I will only ever have that one. Rush was (were) my first concert ever as well, back in '81. But as poignant as that is, like JB said^^^ "One is better than none" and what a one it was, especially for your first.
  5. Wasn't there a play or a musical somewhere that you wrote that I was supposed to proofread?
  6. And in the funeral home this song will be playing in the background, disturbing no one with any harsh noises, barely audible, as it was intended to be played.
  7. Yes, but you could. Oh sure, I could. But I don't want to. ;)

  9. That point in the darkness when everyone is scrambling to their spots on stage and that first recognizable note...bliss, sweet bliss. heart racing w/ excitement. This, this is where I am supposed to be. The stage props were funny and fun. The dolls w/ the post-its, the ever changing line up of dinosaurs. Dryers and chickens and the ever evolving crew to tend to them. The whole thing felt like we the audience were let in on some personal joke. Geddy and Alex's interaction on the stage...their joking around, they just looked so happy and jovial all the time. Their dance moves...especially during certain songs... The lights...oh lord the lights, from the very beginning (and my first was Moving Pictures). The green lazer beams made to look solid by smoke...just so completely awesome. Over the years the lights evolved...the beams now came in multi-colors, the lights above the stage took on futuristic ufo qualities, but never ceased to delight me. There was always at least one moment in a concert that I'd feel emotionally overwhelmed and driven to tears. Happy tears. Not usually the same song (though sometimes)...it's that moment, that moment of complete happiness that transcends everything else, That's the moment I miss the most.
  10. The world is a big place w/ many different people, and many differing opinions. You do you. That's cool. I don't even have to listen to that song.
  11. Visually stunning movie. Loved it!
  12. Happy Birthday, JB! Hope it was awesome! :madra: :ebert:
  13. :laughing guy: Having said that, probably not. I am pretty sure that Neil would initiate conversation with me. He might say something like "Please untie me! Please let me go! Please don't kill me!". It rubs the lotion on its skin or else it gets the hose again.
  14. :laughing guy: Having said that, probably not. No, no, he would. I would just studiously ignore him, but he would ultimately be so interested in me, just as a specimen of humanity, that he would probably initiate conversation. Who do you think you are... The Peart Whisperer?
  15. :laughing guy: Having said that, probably not.
  16. I don't recall saying I was tired of them. I do recall saying I you're not very good at it. Your own meme proves my point. But by all means....carry on. I'm sure the religious guy who took your lunch money and your girlfriend moved on decades ago... You guys are acting like you don't know each other. I know nothing. And no one.... That's not entirely true... I did meet ByTor in 2010, and Kev just by chance in 2010 as well. I also sold something on ebay before that to a buyer who turned out to be Didact. The rest of you are just pigments of my imagination. I think you meant figments and not pigments. ;) His imagination may be very colorful though.
  17. He is only that way because he doesn't like to be around people, and some shy people (Me included) don't like people to the point where they treat em like shit. Thou, he is a bit of a dick, he isn't as bad as some other celebs out there honestly. You know that ‘thou’ is an archaic pronoun and ‘though’ is an adverb, don’t you? I like saying thou, so shut Up. Saying “thou”or writing “thou”? both ...how about typing? Thou slayest me! Don't forget the "forthwith". Timing is everything. I love this whole conversation...that the usage was intentionally archaic and not just predicated on the idea that she just might not know how to spell 'though'. Forsooth, she may not. Verily I say to you...she does now. Well played. I looked but, alas, there is no KJV to modern English in Google Translate. I'd look harder, but I have to go now. Nine months ago, my niece knew her husband, and she begat him a son. (Not really, but I couldn't think of a better way to get more stilted, archaic language into this thread at the moment.) 'Knew" in the biblical sense...gotcha. "I have to go now" = I must bid you adieu You could have tried so much harder. :poke: Alas, it's all for naught... I understand there are babies a waitin'.

  19. I don't really get it either but I don't think Neil would be quite so much offended as he would be confused that someone called him a duffel bag? Duffel bag?!...I thought it meant dime bag! But then I thought 'surely he has enough money to buy more than that by now'.

    Who are you

I got The Enemy Within w/ the quiz...which is kind of apropos, I suppose. And as much as I love that song...Who I am is more along the lines of Closer to the Heart or Turn the Page.
  21. It's hot. It's really hot. Nobody told me it was going to be this hot. This is like Africa hot. I don't think I can stay here if it's going to be this hot.
  22. If the way Neal destroyed working man is any indication, I don't want him touching any of that debut album. He has no f****** Groove. Have you seen what he did to Here Again?! Ugh...it's a travesty. Talk about no groove. No wonder they've never played it live since. And I'm totally serious about that, even if you're not. That was definitely a case of more drums does NOT = better. God it's bad. On rare occasions, though, his overplaying actually works: http://youtu.be/g9AvU1OWRps That was an absolutely deplorable mix, of everything. Almost un-listenable (much like the live version of Here Again that Neil played on I was talking about). Ugh, no. Perhaps they just weren't that good at playing live yet, getting the timing down and everything because the studio version of that is way WAY better...smoother, not as sped up. That was horrible.
