shows how when he sets any goal he meets it: losing weight. nice job neil. was just hearing someone talk about him at the 99 tonight regarding amazing drummers and that was nice.

I always think of Caravan whenever I hear commuter train bells ring and then hum the intro

I would say a masterpiece would have me smiling ear to ear or interested throughout.

anyone thought about starting a RUSH FANS dating site

False. https://www.channeln...-banned-9882740 Enjoy. I think there is a difference here; what I was referring to was businesses promoting themselves through social media, not being held for ransom by strange Instagrammers. :) But I agree, there are lots of ways of promotion. thanks for clarifying

granted i researched them for 15 minutes and said f**k it could be good...but it turned into a bunch of songs that didn't do much for me so i left...i expected metal and renaissance with operatic vocals but what i got was a strange commercial mix of original songs sung with great passion but no soul. sorry for the negativity but that's how i felt.

i saw them on 3/17 and they really disappointed -except for the guitarist- it's like listening to a band that created a marketable genre and sold out to the sound they created if that makes any sense

"Best I Can" has a perfect solo by Lifeson

:eyeroll: The Dead are an iconic live band. trust me I'm not that ignorant and I think it's funny how some artists have vey strong opinions on other bands. I'm sure it could have been a bad night but I also know that some of their early shows were "interesting."

a couple rock & roll books I have read on the subject state the dead f***ing sucked live (greg allman, john fogerty). btw Sebastian Bach's book is chock full of Rush references as you already would have guessed.

I think that'd've been Steve Lillywhite, who I can imagine they were looking to for, amongst much previous, his most recent work on U2's War album, from which oooh interesting! Check it davey: http://www.google.co...r-pressure/amp/ ((Hope you’re well btw :hail: Go Pats! :hail: )) thanks! :hail: :fury: you going to a SB party?

plus i always wonder what the album would have sounded like if it were produced by the guy who left them hanging. my guess is that it wouldn't be as good but you never know

with all the awesome metal that came out that year this album for me was a big letdown but i happen to love his tremelo work on this one the most it's a big influence. i still can't get over how this guy reinvents himself: how does he come up with these chords?!? so much respect for alex lifeson
-
i am not concerned about Alex' quotes. it sounds like he is simply showing respect to neil by submitting to the idea that they are "done." and btw every time i read "we" i cannot help but substitute that with "neil" since he's the one who holds the reigns. and neil always calls at some point. always. i'm fine either way. i honestly expect rush to do something in the future but if i'm wrong that's fine, too. i doubt geddy and alex would ever form another band out of respect for the fans, so the little projects will keep them busy until ***THE CALL*** prediction: ***THE CALL*** will happen as soon as neil moves out of california and settles in to his new digs sometime around Spring 2021

Neil is doing what he needs to do. Then he will make THE CALL. Then I will be happy. Then you will selfishly cry for more. As usual. :Neil:
