This was a fun track to record....bass tone is epic.

To my ears, there is only one band who "does" this genre properly and that's The Wildhearts.

Completely agree with you...the only reason they get any attention imo is that Hale has an undeniably great voice. However their music is cheesy, derivative and has terrible lyrics It's the reason they do a plethora of covers, because they can't write any decent songs of their own.

It's a great review, saw it yesterday...she always gives some perspective I never noticed before because of her trained ear. One of the few reactors on YT I would bother with.

RIP

Before they were a hard rock band they were pretty goth/post punk...they wemt under the name of Southern Death Cult then Death Cult, eventually becoming The Cult we are more familiar with.
