  1. Curious to know if any of you folks are into Nazareth ? Been a fan for over twenty years....and the boys are still going. They have influenced so many over the years.....
  2. I have immense respect for Hendrix and have had for some time. There were many that followed and were influenced by him ( and some i believe even better than he was). But he had his own influences from the past too. Rock music was invented in the 50s....without the artists of those early days....none of what followed could have in the same way. People rave on about The Beatles etc.....and yes..i like them too...but who were there influences ? Hendrix was a guitarist of immense qualities. And sadly not around long enough. But there are so many contenders to that Rock n Roll throne. Like him or not (and i do)...Elvis Presley helped to mould Rock and Rock n Roll ( and other genre's too for that matter ) music into what it became. Without him ( and others like Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry etc etc) music would be so different. The chances are that we could would still be bopping along to some Jazz
  3. 40 year old male....getting old..oh well..another
  4. QUOTE (ArrowSnake @ Aug 26 2008, 09:56 PM) Sean Connery will always be the best, but Daniel Craig is also pretty damn good! Dr. No and Casino Royale are the best Bond films imo. Roger Moore was a little too old and campy. George Lazenby was a joke! Timothy Dalton was ok, I like him better than Brosnan. I don't like the Brosnan movies, they're just no good. I hope they keep making movies like Casino Royale, that one kicked ass! I've been watching Bond movies since I was a little kid, and I still enjoy them. Would agree pretty much. Sean is still head and shoulders above the rest.....but Casino Royale was the best i have seen for some time. Look forward to seeing the next in line...
