  1. QUOTE (Necromancer @ Jan 16 2010, 04:44 PM) QUOTE (Test4VitalSigns @ Jan 16 2010, 08:34 PM) Any movie that stars a former pro wrestler is an automatic avoidance. I cannot name even one single good movie that stars a former wrestler. Dwayne's made a few good flicks. I thought The Playbook was great. And GridIron Gang was also awesome. "The Rundown" was a decent movie too.
  2. I am an electrical designer. I design electrical systems for everything from condos to full blown Vegas casinos. My latest is the new Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
  3. Fair Warning. I was 11 years old and my parents let me go see that tour with my best friend who was just a few years older. For the song "I don't want to hear about it later", we snuck up to almost the front row until security sent us back to our seats towards the end of the song. The best 3 minutes of my young life. I'll never forget that night. To this day, the fourth track on FW is still my favorite.
  4. Good news everyone....Danny had his seizure. It was a big one from what I hear. I'll keep you posted.
  5. QUOTE (Drumnut @ Nov 18 2009, 09:14 PM)My Dr just walked in and asked me when I was going to have a seizure? As if I can predict these damn things... He asked what would cause me to have a seizure overnight and I told him: not sleep enough, or eat enough. He told me to stay up all night and we'll see what happens. He thought taking away my meds yesterday would do it. I think we're a long way from a seizure right now. No sleep, no food, no meds, let's get it on! Well you better hurry up and have that damn seizure.....you have band practice on Saturday and we need our bass player!!!!!! You know I'm just kidding. But things do sound much better when you're taking care of the bottom end. Talk to you soon bro.
  6. QUOTE (Der Trommler @ Nov 17 2009, 10:24 AM)QUOTE (Drumnut @ Nov 16 2009, 11:28 PM) Well, here I sit @ Sunrise Medical Center in Las Vegas, NV watching Monday Night Football hoping for a seizure to happen. (They have Wi-Fi in the hospital, that's how I'm posting here) I just had dinner (skipping meals can lead to a seizure) I took my meds this morning and they are rationing my doses here in the hospital to slowly bring my med levels down and then abruptly stop them to see if it induces a seizure. Not sleeping right leads to a seizure for me yet they are telling me to get plenty of rest. I just talked to the Dr, and he said I may be a candidate for surgery and that's why they are running this EEG overnight and or for the next few days. I could be here for anywhere from 3-5 days or more if needed. (Maybe a good time to try that quit smoking thing eh? Of course Doc says it is.) He said they hope I do have one when they take me off of my meds so the electrodes they glued to my head will pick it up, and the video camera on the wall will catch it live. If not, I could ask them for a copy of the video of the young nurse that comes to give me my "sponge baths." I guess I'm expected to have a seizure sometime soon so they can record it and go from there... Good luck! I hope all goes well. Yes, good luck bro. I hope this turns out to be the turning point you need. Just got back from bringing my brother some real food and snapped a quick picture of what I am calling "Cyborg Danny". Check this out: http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d3/rushfannlv/DSC03445.jpg He's all wired up to a computer that is constantly checking his brain waves. Looks like the cover of Permanent Waves. Neat stuff.
  7. Loved the original. Watched it many, many times. The original contained many visual effects so I am sure that the re-make will as well. I just find it hard sometimes to watch newer movies where the movie is all about the effects. I hope they don't go overboard. This one will actually be worth going to the theater for IMO.
  8. Good movie up until the ending. The ending pissed me off.
  9. QUOTE (missionman @ Oct 8 2009, 11:06 PM) If I did all the things I "should have" did in my life, I'd be a RICH man!!!!! Excellent point! There's no changing the past. Focus on the future. Good to hear you're having a good day. See you tomorrow Danny.
  10. QUOTE (Drumnut @ Oct 5 2009, 02:22 PM) Good today so far... That's good to hear bro. Stay positive.
  11. I've seen two: Moving Pictures and Caress of Steel. I did not like the Moving Pictures band. However, Caress of Steel is excellent. The Geddy Lee is right on the money. He is a very talented individual. Being a guitar player, I was less impressed with the guitarist but only because of his sound. Alex is very punchy and this guys sound, while good, was not punchy enough for my taste. Check em out at www.cosband.com.
  12. Signals both lyrically and musically.
  13. QUOTE (PuppetKing2112 @ Sep 14 2009, 02:47 PM) I just got my new issue of Rolling Stone and there she is on the cover, and I'm just not seeing it. I'm with you on this one. I actually just asked my wife the same question yesterday. Too skinny.
  14. QUOTE (Godeater2112 @ Sep 2 2009, 05:07 AM) She is strangely enough... very hot IMO. OMG I thought I was the only one!!!!!!
  15. QUOTE (1-0-0-1-0-0-1 @ Mar 31 2009, 09:37 PM) Suuuuuure that's a shovel. I know a stick figure g-string when I see one.... Yeah, you can almost hear "Cherry Pie" just looking at that picture.
  16. Happy Birthday bro! Hope you and Thumper have a good one.
  17. QUOTE (Finding IT @ Nov 7 2008, 11:51 AM) It's stealing, plain and simple.
  18. QUOTE (Drumnut @ Aug 19 2008, 03:34 PM) Here's my new best friend: http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y49/Drumnut/100_0162.jpg Right on! What a sweet puppy! What's his/her name?
  19. I have confirmation that NP is indeed "hot". While wearing my hemispheres era Rush T-shirt and purchasing beer at my local convenience store, the cashier helping me pointed at my shirt and commented that the one in the middle is a "hottie". She was referring to non other than NP.
  20. I love the song. The lyrics are perfect and they describe my views on religion perfectly. It is comforting to hear these lyrics and know that there are many out there who feel the way I do about the subject.
  21. QUOTE (Slime @ Jul 28 2008, 05:04 AM) I can't say "I hate 'Heavy Metal'" enough to convey the SIZE of the hate... If I could get away with assaulting every person who ever told me "Hey man you should check this out", I'd make your local hospitals VERY busy Funny you should say that.... I just talked to the drummer in my band (we meet on Tuesday nights) and told him I was bringing my copy of "Spinal Tap" for him to watch as he has never seen this classic movie....and he's A DRUMMER!!! Anyway, he says to me "cool man...I'll let you borrow "Heavy Metal". You gotta watch that again man... it's really cool!"....I saw it when I was 11 in the theater and I've never had a desire to see it again. It just never held my interest. Now the sound track to the movie is a different story.
  22. QUOTE (Spindrift @ Jul 7 2008, 02:13 PM)QUOTE (rushfanNlv @ Jul 6 2008, 11:18 AM) "My brain is like oatmeal. I yelled at Kenny today for coloring outside the lines! Megan and I are starting to watch the same TV shows....and I'm liking them. I'm losing it!" Mr. Mom You're up. Love that movie.
