Looking forward to the "R40 Overture". The "R30 Overture" was so much fun to play. If they take a break, good for them. My gut tells me there is still a few albums left in the band. They just appear to have so much fun doing what they are doing....and why not.

I have been eating Pho for years now but only recently got back into this amazing noodle soup. There are dozens and dozens of Pho shops in this city but for my taste, Pho Hung (http://www.phohungla...om/main_v8.html) has the best broth and the best selection of meats to add to the soup. I love a big bowl of Pho after a night out or with friends for lunch. Good stuff.
Anyone else familiar with Pho? Have you ever tried to make it at home?

Kick ass. :dweez: Funny how you grab the B up at the seventh fret on the E string and at the second fret B string - I do the same thing all the time. Just depends on where you are.

Can't wait to have another one. Yummy!

I did a very similar revamp of my yamaha strat with an L500 from Bill and Becky and the tone was great. The new L500s nail the GUP tone IMO. You really have to look at the amp you are going to use as well. At the time, Alex was using two Marshall 4140 amps: one distorted and one clean with the cleaner amp blended more out in front.

My opinion is this: that ship, and it was one hell of a ship, has sailed. The vibe that has been established between Nick and Rush is amazing and should be allowed to grow even more. If TB came back into the picture, everyone would expect this miracle of a Rush album that sounded like Moving Pictures Part 2 which we all know is never going to happen.
Dedicated to the future with honor to the past.....

Amazing show as always. Lots of energy. It was not a good show for the casual Rush fan with all of the deeper cuts and almost the entire first album but the people sitting around us really seemed into it. I avoided the set list until the show but I'm pretty bummed now to hear that they played Limelight in lieu of The Body Electric. That would have been a great song to hear live.
I thought the sound was pretty thin with a bunch of highs and mids but almost no low end at all. We were sitting all the way in the back behind the sound board - Geddy side so it must have been our seats judging from the other opinions of the sound in this thread.
whoa they played the entire first album? I totally missed that :P
Entire *new* album...I meant. Hehe. But that would be cool to hear the entire first album live. They would have to tune down at least two or three steps to do it but still, cool.

I don't own a single one. I'm kind of shocked by that now that I think about it. I've been into cooking for several years. I just use TV shows and or the internet.
Hmmm....this is a good idea for a Christmas gift. I have all of the Rush stuff I could ever want and my family says I am hard to buy for unless it's Rush related.
Thanks!

Not a chance. I'd rather pay full price.

Christmas is coming and I have to write my letter to Santa soon. Can I include a Hentor Sportscaster on my list to the big guy or what?

A rosewood fretboard might mellow the tele out a little as well.

Day before Thanksgiving and the office is almost empty. I've decided it's an all RUSH day at work! I'm listening to all albums in order.

You're doing a fine job. :dweez:

Another Thanksgiving lie: I like spending time with my wife's cousin husbands.........five minute chat about football and then just plain, uncomfortable silence
Not a Rush Fan i take it? The cousins husband i mean?
No, not at all. Like many of the people here in Vegas, their both gamblers and have dough on the football game and that's all they can seem to talk about. I'm not a gambler so I can't really relate.

I don't drink soda as often as I used to but when I do, I prefer to have fountain soda rather than a can or a plastic bottle.
Who remembers "Jolt" cola? All the sugan and twice the caffeine.

I watched a cut up version of a movie called "Otis". I would love to see the un-cut version. Had me on the edge of my seat.

Holy crap! I fell asleep watching TV today (totally threw off my whole day BTW) and I thought I dreamed this. I heard the song in my sleep like three times and just assumed it was a dream.
