No Vegas Date? Really?

Looking forward to the "R40 Overture". The "R30 Overture" was so much fun to play. If they take a break, good for them. My gut tells me there is still a few albums left in the band. They just appear to have so much fun doing what they are doing....and why not.

My opinion is this: that ship, and it was one hell of a ship, has sailed. The vibe that has been established between Nick and Rush is amazing and should be allowed to grow even more. If TB came back into the picture, everyone would expect this miracle of a Rush album that sounded like Moving Pictures Part 2 which we all know is never going to happen. Dedicated to the future with honor to the past.....

whoa they played the entire first album? I totally missed that :P Entire *new* album...I meant. Hehe. But that would be cool to hear the entire first album live. They would have to tune down at least two or three steps to do it but still, cool.

Amazing show as always. Lots of energy. It was not a good show for the casual Rush fan with all of the deeper cuts and almost the entire first album but the people sitting around us really seemed into it. I avoided the set list until the show but I'm pretty bummed now to hear that they played Limelight in lieu of The Body Electric. That would have been a great song to hear live. I thought the sound was pretty thin with a bunch of highs and mids but almost no low end at all. We were sitting all the way in the back behind the sound board - Geddy side so it must have been our seats judging from the other opinions of the sound in this thread.

Not a chance. I'd rather pay full price.

Day before Thanksgiving and the office is almost empty. I've decided it's an all RUSH day at work! I'm listening to all albums in order.

I watched a cut up version of a movie called "Otis". I would love to see the un-cut version. Had me on the edge of my seat.

Holy crap! I fell asleep watching TV today (totally threw off my whole day BTW) and I thought I dreamed this. I heard the song in my sleep like three times and just assumed it was a dream.

That's one of the great things about Alex. He reproduces the solos exactly as they are on the studio cut. I like that. I'm not a big fan of guitarists "ad-libbing" solos live. I think that Page is probably the only one where I actually enjoy him turning a 30 second solo into a 5 minute solo.

Awesome! Glad to hear. Enjoy every minute of this. I just celebrated my sons 20th birthday. It seems like only yesterday I could hold him on one arm. Now he's taller than I am. Goes by so fast.

I'm glad you have found work and you're making money but I personally would rather work fast food, bussing tables, jizz moper.....anything but cold caling. I got sucked into that for less than an hour when I was around 17. Terrible experience. My advice, keep looking.

Geddy lip synched the "ohhhhhs" in the Earthshine" pre-chorus. It's totally obvious watching the video that he is at least 6" away from the mic. He's old.

Brain dead clients. Sent the guy two antique street light fixture cut sheets to choose from...the first page of each cut sheet is a large PICTURE of each light fixture....he sends me an Email back asking me to explain the aesthetic differences between each light fixture.

ESL. He did so much with the technology available at that time. ESL, to me, is the Lerxt signature sound. I would have loved to have seen them live on this tour.

To the OP: stop trying to understand and just learn to ignore. It's your only hope. For some odd reason, there are tons of people in the world who love old Rush and hate new Rush but they are somehow drawn to this and other forums to talk about how much they hate the new Rush. It is very strange for sure but I can tell you, I have seen it happen on this forum for years now. One would think that if one hates something, one would simply move on and find something else to do but that is not the case here. Scientists all around the world are baffled.
