I've gone through phases like this too where I didn't listen to them at all for a while. After a period of time, even a few years, I always come back. I think the same will happen with you or at least I hope so...I certainly see you on this forum often enough so there must be something keeping you here.

What Rush Song Are You Currently Listening To? v.3

Digital Man. This is quickly becoming a favorite from Signals. -
.....what's the contest here?

I do always wish he was a TAD better with the fans, but I can tell he appreciates them.

The Wreckers He'd like a lover's wings to fly on To a tropic isle of Avalon

Yes, 100%. I listen to a lot of other stuff but I've known for over a decade that Rush is my favorite band. Their lyrics speak to me on a very deep level, their musicianship is top notch, and the brotherhood between the three of them, as well as their dedication to their craft, is palpable. A world class one-of-a-kind band.

Subdivisions. Once a get a keyboard I'm gonna start playing again, find a good synth setting on it, and bang this one out. -
Anyone here in the NH area who would be interested in meeting up irl? Either respond here or feel free to DM me.

Jimi Hendrix wouldn’t be famous today

I agree. So this whole thing about "so-and-so wouldn't be famous if they came along today" is almost a moot point. Someone has to come along and usher in new styles and techniques which always eventually become old ones. -

I often felt the same way about The Beatles. Am I crazy? -
Missing you a lot tonight Professor. I hope you're up there still rocking out.

I see a lot of cool people on here, and I hope they stick around, at least in some capacity. Indeed people move on to other things, but I know for me, I don't think I'll ever completely abandon this forum now that I'm here. I may go through a period of weeks or even months without being on, but I'll always come back. Rush has been an influential band in my life since I was about 8 or 9 years old and I feel like I'll always have something more to say, even given that they're retired.

It would be cool if we added Snakes and Arrows and Clockwork Angels to this poll. I would be interested to see how that would influence future votes.

Freeze this moment a little bit longer... Time Stand Still. -
That is a good photo. I miss Rush touring so we can get new pictures.

So it's not just me! *Does the admin-summoning dance so he can resolve the issue*

Oh, I didn't realize there was a quota. I kinda wanted to re-post and change my opinions on a couple of them, but oh well.

Were all of the threads in Totem Polls closed off to future replies? It doesn't seem to be giving me the option to comment on any of them.

Definitely the Analog Kid.

This is too bad. I saw Yes in concert once with Styx. Yes was a great band, he will be missed.
-
Agreed! He is almost tied with Geddy as far as attractiveness imo.

I almost cried: "Goodbye to these incredible tools that helped to create this. My legacy. I will love you all forever!" ~Alex I am really sad to see him auction off these guitars. It hit me hard for some reason. Truly the end of an era.
-
Not gonna lie, I would give almost anything to have the money to bid on one of these guitars.

Good question. There are a few things for me. First I think he has a really good figure, slim but not scrawny and still looks healthy. Second, I always thought his tinted glasses look really cool. Third, no man rocks the long-hair look like he does. And finally, I think we can all agree that he has been aging really well. Looks almost the same since the late 90's.
