  1. That's cool! I wish I were in the fanclub. I do have a HeartMongers t-shirt that I got for my birthday. I can't wait until they get the vintage t-shirts. I want a Dreamboat Annie one...

Again - these are subject to change. On sale dates have not been agreed upon. I have yet to see them play a concert on my birthday (August 9th). It's always the day before or after. I REALLY hope they come to Cleveland...
  3. I saw Click 5 today. They were at my mall for a free concert so I figured I'd check them out. They were better than I expected and I actually enjoyed the show. I got to meet the members and I talked to the drummer-Joey Zehr.
  4. I think I like doing them on paper better because you can write the possibilities in the corner instead of keeping it in your head...
  5. QUOTE (D-13 @ Jan 8 2006, 12:14 PM) QUOTE (CloserToTheHEART @ Jan 8 2006, 12:36 AM) QUOTE (D-13 @ Sep 25 2005, 09:57 PM) Ok so everyone knows how Heart had definatly the "Drummer Blues" There was.... *drum roll please* ha-ha Ray Shaefe (unknown) Brian Johnstone (unknown) Mike Derosie (1975-1982) Denny Carmassi (1982-1993) Denny Fongheiser (1993-1995) Ben Smith (2002-2005) Which was your favourite drummer? I liked Mike during the "rock" Era of Heart also then when the 80's came I loved Denny Carmassi's stuff. Now I'm in love with Ben Smith! What say you? MICHAEL DEROSIER!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm a bit obsessive right now. He was definetly my favorite. He had talent. I'm DYING to hear one of his ten minute drum solos. He had so much speed when he played. I'm so jealous of Steph (JchcPenguin on the Heart board) who got to meet him (As well as Roger and Steve). My favorite solos of his were Magic Man from Second Ending, Rock and Roll, and then Never Too Late (From the Clever Bastards). By the way, did you get that from my Heart MySpace (formerly www.myspace.com/heartmusic . It got deleted for copyright infringment even though I wouldn't let people download like other Heart sites, and Ann Wilson's daughter didn't care, neither did Roger's daughter nor his niece). They took it off because of copyright infringement? How odd....who told you to take it off? It was a very good informative site! Unfortunatly, no one told me to take it off like I would have liked. They just simply deleted it. I guess that's MySpace's policy. If something's not wrong, just delete the whole site instead of warning them... Anyhow, I now have a new website... www.lovealive.piczo.com I'm still working on it and I'm hoping it will be better than the MySpace was. Thanks for welcoming me as well. I hope to learn a lot more about Rush (Which I probably will since I learned a ton about Heart since joining their board). I see someone already had my Rush animation which made me really happy. Guess I have to get another avatar which I don't mind.
  6. QUOTE (D-13 @ Dec 4 2005, 10:28 PM) Another video...from 1976. It's sooo cool to see them so young!! I don't know what the first song is...but the second is Heart's "Heartless" http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=92...22ann+wilson%22 THAT would be Mainstage!!! I uploaded that. And a few others on there. I have a few more on OurMedia. I really have to get a place where I have the links so I can just copy and paste them...
  7. QUOTE (D-13 @ Nov 11 2005, 03:51 PM) The reason for the guitar is because there are waaaay too many people who say shit about a band and say their music is shit ...when they don't understand the logic behind it...and the talents...thats all. Yeah I love Heart and I like to defend them because waaaay too many people say...oh whatever...she can't play anything on the guitar or it sounds like *insert band here*. And thats why I felt like I needed to defend. I'm sorry Lets carry on here.... What does everyone think of Jupiters Darling? Their new CD. I personally think it may be Heart's best album other than the huge albums like D&B and DA. A good mix. Goes from Rock to something...mellow and "countryish" like "Things" and then back to rock. I certainly like how Nancy sings in a few songs...nice to hear her voice I love the album. Unfortunatly, I love mostly every other album more. But with that said, I still think it's a great album. If I haven't heard it in a while, I will come back and listen to it and love every minute. I think my favorite song on there is "I'm Fine". Great guitars in there...
  8. QUOTE (D-13 @ Nov 11 2005, 02:04 PM) QUOTE (paganoman @ Nov 11 2005, 09:36 AM) QUOTE (thestand @ Nov 11 2005, 11:01 AM) Which song is it that has the really good acoustic intro (always played on classic rock radio). The first time I heard that song, I thought- 'Yeah, they're not trying to be Rush...' [/sarcasm] Are you talking about the intro to Crazy On You? Man I love that acoustic piece. It's called Silver Wheels. You know..... Alex isn't the only living human being who's allowed to play acoustic guitar. Sheesh. Nancy is an amazing musician and she can play to me anytime she wants. While you're scoffing at her.... I'll be groovin' Tryin to be Rush? Your kidding right? Do you play guitar? if so please pick up one and try and play that piece. I double dog dare you. Nancy is one hell of a musician...and when they play that song live...it's even better. She places parts of songs like Hijinx which sounds even cooler!! Thing that catches my eye is the open chords...brilliant! I'm pretty sure she caught that from Joni Mitchell. Mistral Wind is a good tune that demonstrates this. Even it up...Nancy does the guitar solo...and it's damn good! It's not some lazy sluggish solo...it's fast, accurate and to the point. I don't even know if Heart listened to Rush back then...If I had to guess..I wouldn't think so.... That reminded me, Nancy also solos in Raised On You, Treat Me Well, Nothin' At All (I believe). She is so amazing. The first time I heard Heart do "Crazy On You" live-it was on the Today show so she didn't have time to do the whole intro. Then it was Alive in Seattle where she didn't do it either. I was pleasently surprised when I heard her do the whole thing live in Cleveland...
  9. QUOTE (D-13 @ Nov 11 2005, 01:31 AM) Has anyone seen "Almost Famous"? It was made in 2000. It's kinda cool considering Cameron Crowe (Nancy Wilson's hubby) made the movie (which by the way, was damn good! ). The band in it, Stillwater, was pretty much directed by Heart... Ann and Nancy wrote the songs lyrically...and everyone wrote the instrumental parts for the actors. I think thats pretty damn rad. anyways just bumping this thread lol I hope Heart tours again. If so...i'm certainly going on a road trip! Almost Famous is my favorite movie. I think it's cool that it's semi-biographical. According to Ann, that scene where the plane hits turbulence was based on Heart (Except no one said they were gay).

  11. QUOTE (D-13 @ Sep 5 2005, 11:06 PM) OH MY GOD.... I just downloaded a live Video Version of "Crazy On You" from the hub.... Nancy is like....my freaking hero!!!!! I was trying to play Silver Wheels (live version-intro to Crazy On You) on the guitar today and man she is a genius. To think that up then play it. THEN rock into Crazy On You! Amazing! Did you know she did the solo of "Even It up"? Does anyone have any of their DVD'S? Yesterday I bought Nancy's Instructional Video and 2 Heart books. So that will be interesting when they arrive here....sooo stoked! I was amazed by her guitar playing as well. I did know that she did the solo on Even It Up (Which happens to be my favorite video. I'm trying download a good version of it so I can put it on MySpace). It's a great solo! She also did the solo with Roger on "Mainstage" (I'm not sure if you ever heard it, if not-YOU MUST!)
  12. You know I do. Heart is my favorite band. I think their songs sound almost magical to me. I have all their albums and bootlegs. I love almost all of their songs but my favorites had to be from the original lineup. It never sounded the same after Roger left. I think there was something that each of them brought to the table, so it would not be complete unless all six of the original members are there. I still hope there will be a band reunion but I doubt it will happen anytime soon. I guess that's why I want them to be inducted into the Rock Hall because Ann said that the only way she could see the original Heart reuniting is if they get inducted and if then it would be for money and she doesn't do that much stuff for money (I partly disagree). Anyhow, my favorite albums are "Dreamboat Annie", "Private Audition", "Little Queen", and "Dog & Butterfly". I actually don't have a favorite song by them right now. I have been loving "Go On Cry" though. I'll stop my rambling now...
