  1. I went ahead and ordered his 70s book. If I like it I will order the 80s book at a later date.
  2. Was actually gonna make a post asking if the 70s/80s Popoff books were worth buying. I've got a birthday coming up so I was thinking if they were good y'know?
  3. Hello everyone! I hope this is cool to post here but I have a channel on YouTube where I do my own music, there's not a lot on it now but you can see a few samples. Maybe I'll try to do some Rush someday. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCfE7fCDs0JufJ8rmiBmprvQ Also here is my main channel where I've karaoked some Rush amongst other things. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCHB2C4n6GgF2136lCvL_7-g If you like anything be sure to leave some comments or any feedback cause it's always appreciated!
  4. So questions, Is the Laura Secondary School the earliest filmed footage of Rush and do we know if it's the full show? Finally do you think they'll ever do full releases of shows that we only get teased with like Molson 1997? I know they said there was some problems syncing audio with video but I mean it seems like there was enough footage included that it shouldn't have been a problem?
  5. Maybe this has been asked before, but when I first got R30 back in the day I felt like Subdivisions was played slightly slower than normal live, and then concerts after that it went back to the normal album speed. I would have thought maybe it was just my ears hearing it slower, but then I noticed they played Limelight slower on the Snakes and Arrows DVD. Anybody have any thoughts as to why this was? Did they have other songs that they slowed down and then played back at a normal tempo too?
  6. Coming soon amazon says. https://www.amazon.com/dp/1770415203/ref=nav_timeline_asin?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
  7. Thought I'd just make a post to say I received this today. I never had seen the set in person so I didn't realize how big it was, but I like the pictures and I'm going through R30 right now remembering the greatness of Neil's playing. I know some people weren't jazzed about buying a set with stuff they owned already just to get one disc of bonuses, but for me it was a good purchase cause it meant I got all the stuff I either had and gave up or didn't have to begin with. Also it's a cool piece to display amongst my other Rush stuff. https://ibb.co/9h03prg
  8. https://imgur.com/XeoD2Il Great book! I received it today and I was lucky enough to see Rush in Louisville with my Dad on the Time Machine Tour so this is an amazing book for a fan to have.
  9. QUOTE (Union 5-3992 @ Jun 12 2012, 07:13 PM) Since our car is in the shop (break line broke while I was driving yesterday) I'll have to wait until my Dad finds time to drive to Walmart on his way from work. I went late last night but they refused to let me buy it. Why was that?
  10. I liked Caravan and I downloaded the single when it came out from itunes. I watched it with my dad who went with me to see Rush on this tour and as we were watching he said "What's the name of that song they're playing?" and I said Faithless. He said "I'll have to download that." I kinda like it but I was really glad to hear Marathon as I understand it was a quite a while that had been off the setlists.
  11. I received my copy of the Time Machine DVD yesterday from Amazon. I could've gotten the blu-ray but what the hey. I got to see them for the first time with my pops (also his first) when they played at the YUM Center in Louisville and they rocked out loud! I like the DVD I'm glad all the songs are there and the funny videos cause my dad and I both enjoy seeing them be silly and making jokes. It was cool to see outtakes from the videos as bonuses. Also seeing the complete Tom Sawyer video with the changing people was fun to see. I guess I'm not as nitpicky or I don't keep a close watch as to edits and what not, but I thought it was a good sounding DVD and it looked nice and it's a nice sort of memento from that tour. I will probably be getting Neil's DVDs for X-mas as I blew most of my B-Day (Oct 28) money on other stuff. I did see his DVDs at the GC along with the Work in Progress and Anatomy (I do own that one) and the Buddy Rich Memorial shows with Neil. Overall I'm satisfied with the DVD and glad to have it!

  13. I was there tuesday night with my pops and it was our first Rush show. My dads been to several concerts back in the day but not Rush. First time in the Yum Center as well. I was proudly wearing a red t-shirt with Canada on it as I didn't have an official Rush shirt. Had a real blast and I gotta say that the antics of Rush in their Intro videos gets funnier every year as I've seen on the previous DVDs and in this show.
  14. I just wanted to show off my Geddy Lee and Alex Autograph it's not from the current tour but I purchased it on ebay years ago. It came with a COA and it's awesome. I understand especially from BtLS that Neil is not the type to sign for everyone but it's cool that I have this. http://a8.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc1/5320_1023631047644_1731290064_46015_569529_n.jpg
  15. Going to a Rush show with my old man will be our first Rush concert this year. Tuesday April, 5 at KFC Yum Center. Forgive the post if it's uncessesary but I'm so excited. I heard the entire moving pictures album is to be done along with other favorites and I just downloaded the new single Caravan and I love it. I'm sure they'll play that too. My favorite Rush tune is Subdivisions by the way. Maybe I'll see one of you Rush fanatics from the forum there at the show.
