I listened to a lot of Prog/Prog related stuff over the weekend New Pattern Seeking Animals album. Very melodic band who write good tunes. New one from District 97. This band deserve to be much bigger. Second album from D'Virgilio, Morse & Jennings. Prog meets CSN&Y!! New Glass Hammer album. A SF concept album. Pretty heavy for Glass Hammer. New one from doom/occult/stoner rockers Green Lung. Great stuff and at times not a million miles away from Ghost.

I agree totally on not using the Rush name. Take Zeppelin for instance, Page & Plant did two world tours as ... Page & Plant. We all knew that they were 50% of Led Zeppelin, but the name was respected. I think Alex & Geddy could maybe do something similar, hell, even record some new stuff!!! But, no, please do not do it under the name Rush!

It does seem a bit harsh to say the least. I was speaking to a couple of drummer friends of mine this evening - both are well pissed off as they reckon that Mangini is technically a much better player than Portnoy. I can't really comment as I don't play drums myself.

I feel a bit sorry for Mangini, I really liked his work with DT ...... but ...... Mikey boy returning to the fold is a big deal! However now that he is back on board, I assume he will cut down his work with the ten million other bands he has been involved with!!
