  1. Honestly, NOT being woken up by screaming kids. Day is perfect now!!!!
  2. For people with digestive issues, chocolate is a way to get nutrients when ingesting food is hard. Just wanted to share.
  3. On a lighter note McDonald's coffee is the Literal Best. If I don't have time to brew a pot at home I get my morning cup there. Wal Mart carries canisters of it too, it's soo good. IMO I feel the McDonald's coffee lawsuit was legit but the public didn't want to hear more than the sound bites about the case. Today's facepalm- being too lazy to be productive today. Ugh. Bad me. Bad bad.
  4. I'm a cynic so I think the punched guy was looking for a lawsuit, lol............
  5. I had an unexpectedly wonderful conversation with a family member I usually have a hard time dealing with.... That's it. Thank heaven for small favors.
  6. Due to stupidity at work, someone stole my water bottle. I asked my supervisor and was told no one turned in a bottle like mine. This is the 2nd time in a year this has happened. So upsetting. & Yes I am sad, it's my manager's fault this happened but due to corporate culture I cannot rage out about it. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...........
  7. I knew someone like Neil Peart before I joined the ranks of Rush fandom. (This guy was brilliant, handsome and funny. He could have done anything he wanted. He chose a quiet prosperous life & raised a small family. He WAS a brutally honest human so I doubt he had days where he really wondered "what if?" regarding his life choices. I guess I'm saying some people are decisive in the best ways.) IMO Neil Peart was fated to be an artist. He was fortunate that he was surrounded by people who supported his talent and were patient with his quirks. Let's focus on what is important. Neil Peart left us music, books, essays and teaching aids for drumming. He saved so many souls just by expressing his talent and thoughts.
  8. I love them. I like acts that stand out somehow. They were quirky. Also the singer was a sight to behold.
  9. My younger relative being (in my generation's slang)...a dickweed. The kid is a dickweed.
  10. This is selfish but the fact that my chronic illness is acting up is painful and depressing. I was tired after work and forgot to get OTC painkillers so I have to grit my teeth and go into work feeling like a beat up rug today. Ugh...sad.
  11. Some people are cursed with being viscerally tuned into reality. Neil Peart was that kind of human being. I often wish he had been MORE selfish and lived a quiet life that would have made him happier. In hindsight his statements about his contemporaries are amusing as most of them got more attention but their legacies are stale. Neil allowed the black sheep of the world to have a moment of grace. I feel like we can never thank him enough.
  12. I get to do something fun tomorrow morning. No kids in tow, no headaches. Just a whole day for meeeeee. Also I found a spare set of keys I was looking for, phew. Thank Heaven for small favors.
  13. More like "should have never been promoted" icky. & So much "other".....
  14. I work with an icky person and I had to complain to our corporate office about her. I'm dreading this conversation where I have to describe her ickiness. I'm going to look like I'm picking on a loser. I am facepalming over even having to do this. From now on she's "Dirty Snowflake" to me.
  15. I stumbled into a Roman Catholic funeral service by accident today. I felt like a f*cking jerk....& Yes I was wearing a RUSH tee shirt. I laughed at the situation later. On a lighter note the decedent was in a nice casket and in a new hearse. That dude did good in his life. I am not a necrophiliac, I just have the weirdest luck.
  16. I really wish popular culture would stop romanticizing Ted Kaczynski.... There are evil mentally ill people out there. Read up on what child murderers do before, during and after finding victims. The Devil never needed to exist when humans are capable of such evil. Most brilliant mathematicians work in academia and live chill lives. This guy murdered people for no good reason.
  17. Scary trivia- he was going to murder a neighbor's child for annoying him with noise (as children do).....But he realized they'd figure out who killed that child and arrest him. He was insane with lucid moments. Mental illness is a blight on society. We're all lucky he felt the need to isolate himself. Nuttier people have done way way worse.
  18. A hemorrhoid. Aging is so tragic, lol.
  19. Yeah what he did was some out there shizzzz......
