  1. "Sex And The City" is a classic. OMG. So many un-broachable topics were broached.
  2. lol @ Rolling Stain Side note- Bill Graham apparently gave Carlos a huge boost career-wise, since he recognized his raw talent and potential. Also- Carlos Santana put out some great live albums. Anyone wishing to get a taste for what was coming out of that scene in the 1970s would be smart to pick up those albums in whichever medium that suits them (digital or record store.) Back on topic, IMO Wenner became like Lorne Michaels, and stopped thinking outside of the box. (Aside from his obvious bigoted thought processes.) People get comfortable or stagnant and they stop changing and growing.......
  3. A really gruesome crime back home made me sad. Like, ugh. The human condition is so dark sometimes.......
  4. He had a good run. He apparently terrified people back in the day, lol..............
  5. I can explain this. Most radio stations have a contractually agreed upon setlist for their formats and will play many songs ad nauseum. (A friend in the business admitted this to me.) As we move away from traditional radio, this will be less relevant to us as listeners, who have many other options. Today I laughed at being considered part of the "monied" demographic. For the modern American, looking prosperous on paper can lead to so many dumb situations.
  6. Just on topic, if someone needs a laptop they will use daily and will be toting around everywhere, spend the money on a model designed for outdoor use. It's sad but for most of us tech is part of the way we make a living.
  7. Glad you said this. The stats for small plane crashes are grim, especially when a pilot is either a novice or prone to getting disoriented.
  8. A lazy kid. His mother is Eastern European so I was so surprised he even acts like that. EE families usually discipline their kids.
  9. (Very adult themes but) Novels by Christopher Pike R L Stine's Goosebumps Series Hit up any big bookstore, they usually have a whole section devoted to tween and teen books.
  10. I love Van Hagar. I'm not afraid to show it......
  11. A shopping trip made my day. The bounty of goodness we chucked in the back of the grocery getter.
  12. Contrarian people and misfits get to experience all the alienation and none of the warmth of youth. & I'll just be brutally honest, MOST people turn out the way you expect them to.....among the people I grew up with, very few of them broke out of the molds set for them. So for some, the song "Subdivisons" re-inforces their ideas on life. Others might be saddened by the ideas.
  13. I wish people would be more kind towards her legacy. She was a true forward thinking person. Today I laughed at the antics of a teenager. Ahh youth...........
  14. It's a process. The worst part of mourning is when it just comes back to you, long after the initial loss. But love is eternal.
  15. On a less serious note, his work on that "NCIS" TV show did help people understand the professionals who work in lab settings- they have to be very meticulous and careful. Godspeed sir!
  16. Oh yeah. The old school TicketMaster system offered detailed info on seats, locations, etc. You have to give it to people who worked for TM, or at music sales stores, they had to know that system to maximize profit for the company.
  17. How heavy. I am sorry to hear of this. I'm sad due to ongoing health issues. "Losing it" is always bitter.
  18. Oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo thank you.
  19. Presto is awesome. Y'all are killin me here.
  20. Glad you are still here. A friend of mine had that surgery but it did not result in a longer lifespan.
