  1. On a brighter note, Rush as a social phenomenon has evolved from "a guy thing" to "subculture thing"................ Back on topic divorces have to happen. That is better than all the alternatives......
  2. Getting to go shopping. BAD I know. Retail therapy...w0000
  3. Great photo. The popularity of this book means the influence of Rush will be discussed again- they were the reason so many younger musicians put effort into actually making it in the music industry, versus just being "weekend warriors". I'm personally enjoying the walk down memory lane provided by the book and book tour.
  4. Naw. My guess? Just mundane crap.
  5. The cruelty of consumers is .....terrible. These guys have done enough for us. Let them enjoy their family lives.
  6. I'd like to humanize addicts by mentioning this- for some occupations, the stresses of the job do cause people to become addicted. A relative of mine got heavily into methamphetamine abuse when he took a job that meant long work hours and long drives.
  7. The absurdity of life. I'm organizing a closet and am thinking of funny life experiences (looking at my clothing made me think of this.) Back to work...sigh.....
  8. You reminded me, this is why self-checkouts are great. I'd get death glares from people for scooting into the "10 Items or Less" aisle with...11 items.
  9. Dealing with teenagers. Full on facepalm.............
  10. Let's be grateful we had them leading a nation.
  11. Ugh thank God. When I bartended I had a customer who (I could tell) was dangerously mentally ill. I told him he needed to get help. Maybe I prevented him from hurting people. On a related note, gun and ammo hoarding is disturbingly common.
  12. Phuck YEAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. Be happy for them. & The one man show known as Ged............ I, like many people, re-discovered a lot of the catalog of songs during the Pandemic years. I hate admitting this but one of my favorite concerts featured a mosh pit so large and unruly I didn't jump into it. I was glad everyone was feeling the music, but I opted to relax by a barricade. LOL As long as everyone is having a good time, what is there to be angry about....?
  14. The only reason I even bring this up is- Clapton has went out of his way to share his worst thoughts. The documentation is out there. He got a lot of public sympathy for the death of his child. The music industry benefitted from that. He could have learned to be more warm to people from that experience. But he didn't............ He was a standout guitar player for his era, but time marched along and he was overshadowed. I don't want to say who this person is, but I met another guitar player that hit his professional peak in the early 1970s and he was rude to me. I didn't do anything (I don't scream at or beat up old men) but....THAT guy is a racist and he pretty much confirmed it when I shook his hand. The majority of musicians are decent people. Unfortunately, Eric Clapton stopped mentally evolving in the late 1960s.
  15. Might be too upsetting. No amount of money could make me take a job where I'd have to be reminded of a dead loved one for 16 hours a day, for months. Be grateful for the insensitivity of rock music. It makes heartbreaking loss easier to handle.
  16. I'm not surprised. A former governor of my state is one of the trashiest men I've ever met, but he's wealthy so people think he's smart. Ugh. Politics can be so gross!!!!!!!
  17. An neccessary evil..............................
