Thanks for the correction. Yep, lazy research on my part - failed at multi-tasking! Pictures of Roger Waters all over the place on my search results confused me I guess.

I'm late to the party of all things Floyd and Waters but just a quick search tells me Polly Samson is MARRIED to Roger Waters i.e. still married. Either they have a marriage where she's happy to give him a good rollocking some times or they might not be together anymore?? Apologies if this isn't appropriate but it just made me wonder when I was intrigued who the lyricist Polly Samson was and what her artistic background was etc.

Stone in love - Journey Closing time - Semisonic Iron Maiden - Wrathchild I've always had Journey as one of those bands I've liked but never really listened much to their discog. Stone in love popped up on a random streaming list and I realised it might be a good jam. Plus Steve Perry's singing is great to my mind.

Karma to Burn Their 2nd (and final?) album, Wild Wonderful Purgatory was just instrumental cool metal riff pieces with the tracks just given random numbers. Cool but sexist cover and pics adorned the cd booklet.

Sorry to bring this up after a long time but you've mentioned some games on here that I still have or have tried to play. Especially Deus Ex, Vampire, Bioshock, Independence Ware and Freespace. I've got the 1st Independence War and I love the idea of it but I've never spent enough time with it to get going. How did or do you play it - via keyboard or with a joystick? I know the 1st one has a guide to all the keys on the keyboard which have a function for operating the spacecraft. Does the 2nd have a similar setup or is it easier?

Sorry for bringing this up after a few years but was trawling the games section and saw your reference to Astro Blaster. I used to watch this in a Holiday Arcade when I was a young teen and loved the voice and sound. I'm tempted to get a Playstation Portable and the Sega Genesis Collection.on the sole basis that it has AB as an unlockable game. Not sure what I'd have to do to unlock it - complete the whole collection??

See, I've always had a soft spot for Mustapha and Jazz overall. I quite like the Eastern (?) vibe Freddie went for or whatever message he was trying to portray. (Anyone know the back story - tongue-in-cheek, did he believe, was it for his family etc?). But I can imagine that song could sour the listening experience of Jazz for some people.

Always loved I'll Wait as a more serious take on Eddie's synth forays as a tonic against the simplicity of the ubiquitous Jump. And I'm with Rick on Women in Love too especially paired with Beautiful Girls as a 1-2 finisher. I know, if we all agreed, life would be boring.

Agree for the most part but apart from the dodgy Sammy lyrics, In 'n' out has a cool riff to my mind. Similar lyrically ball park to Finish what you started (et al by him!)

Father Figures - quite good Helms-Wilson lighthearted road comedy with a variety of famous US elder statemen/women.

Well tbh I'm 'listening' to it. I've only got to the 3rd track. I've heard it before because I everything by them up to this point but I remember that it's definitely missing the DeGarmo factor! Just waiting for Dio to liven things up.

Thor Love and Thunder. I thought Christian Bale's more serious character was well done amongst the more light-hearted roles from Hemsworth, Waititi we al. I think I've heard he's a more intense personality in real life but I bet he still did well to keep it serious seeing as I suspect Waititi likes to keep a light-hearted, jovial atmosphere on his film sets (if the brief doc on the previous film seemed to suggest). Nice cameo from Matt Damon, Melissa Mccarthy and a couple of other actors I couldn't place (which I haven't googled about yet).
