QUOTE (Good, bad, andrush @ Jun 30 2012, 08:45 AM) QUOTE (Roddy @ Feb 15 2007, 10:30 PM) From what I've heard, which is everything DT have done, and a fair amount of PT now, I reckon Mike could outplay PT's drummer with one arm and one leg tied behind his back. And DT make PT sound like nothing whatsoever. No contest at all either way, IMO.... ...ummm Gavin...according to drummers and actually musicians...can actually run circles around portnoy. But in PT he never demonstrates his full potential. True. If you want full power Gavin, check out the records he did with 05Ric.

Not my favorite, but worth mentioning: Red Tide.

I can't stand Rush, that high voice, musical wankery, and those sci-fi lyrics... AC/DC rules!

Go to the show, it was the most impressive concert I'd ever been to. I agree with Lunchpad in the sense that it's not a traditional rock concert, it's a mix between a concert, a musical and movie. Go for it! I'm happy I did

"Il faut cultiver notre jardin." One of the greatest litterary refferance ever. Neil really shines as a lyricist.

Geddy has been for now quite some time saying that he'd like to perform with an orchestra, "our music fits". Do you think Clockwork Angels would work with an orchestra? I think some songs would, I still have to listen to the album a few time though.

VERY solid album... I'm pleased no... I'M F*CKING HAPPY!!

Bon anniversaire mon ami

...is actually a good patience lesson! We've been spoiled with early album leaks for years (myself included), so this teaches us to be patient, like we used to be before the internet. I know I'll enjoy CA even more just for that reason

Music In All Genres Peaked From 1969-1979.
Soni replied to RUSHHEAD666's topic in Music Of The Spheres
Well yes and no... I like a lot of recent music, but that music is a continuation of what's been done in the 70's (that "prog" stuff ) but I also like a lot of alternative, electronic, and trip hop music. So... maybe? -
QUOTE (Ovningskora @ May 21 2012, 11:13 PM) I just listened to The Beatles first five albums. I literally had a headache through each one. If there was ever such thing as an overpraised band... They got good after the 5th.
