  1. I like Tattoo. It's f**king Van Halen, what's not to like.
  2. 5150 is my second favorite record, after VH ll. Cherone is not their most "talented" singer. Sammy clearly has the most talent.
  3. QUOTE (Akron162 @ Dec 13 2011, 05:10 PM) QUOTE (launchpad67a @ Dec 13 2011, 01:34 PM) I like Britney, always have. When someone sells upwards of 100 Million records you cannot dismiss her as a valid artist. That shows how even without talent, if you over-sell yourself enough, use ridiculous outfits all the time and marry some clown, you can be successful in this culture. Somewhat yes, But the songs that sell her albums still have to be quality, and some are even great. This goes for all successful albums. Bad songs don't sell records, that's a fact. Outlandish costumes, bizarre behavior, controversy and sex tapes do sell records, but only after your music has been noticed.

  5. My band opened for them on this tour, in Arizona in May. They rocked the amphitheater! Chuck Panozzo made an appearance and played a few tunes. All great guys. JY and Tommy both came off the bus and stood at stage left to watch out set. They loved it. Photos http://hphotos-sjc1.fbcdn.net/hphotos-snc6/244004_10150192109109728_602099727_6630613_4842977_o.jpg
  6. Ratings on Youtube mean nothing.... VIEWS are your goal. Get enough views and Youtube will send you an email asking if you'd like to signup for Revenue Sharing, where you can make money from your video. It's a brilliant program.
  7. Saw it the other night. So f**king funny!! Favorite quote: "Charlie, you have a lot in common with Bruce Willis now. You were both big in the 80s, and now Ashton Kutcher is filling your slot." ... brilliant
  8. I was addicted to this band for years, couldn't get enough. Saw them on all these early tours.
  9. This is amazing! I don't normally get too excited about dvd releases, but this excites me. Over 6 hours, wow can't wait.
  10. Facebook is a fantastic resource in so many ways. Each user must decide how they want to use it. It's the single most powerful marketing tool on the planet. Remember, if you put FB down for all the shit people post, it's your own fault for allowing them to be your friend. Facebook was meant to be used by you and your friends only. Choose them carefully and you will never have to worry about shit being posted on your wall.
  11. Songs In The Key Of Life - Stevie Wonder The Wall - Pink Floyd The White Album - The Beatles * someone posted Sgt. Pepper in an earlier post. This was Not a double album.
  12. Regardless of what anyone thinks, it's His concert and he will say what will happen at the show and the venue. This is how it works. You would be amazed at the "writers" (performance/spec demands) of bands and artists. They can be 50 pages long and full of all kinds of crazy stuff. I've seen and written 100's of them. It's his call, and if the venue wants him to perform they will do what he says.
  13. This thread reminds me of our governments bad intentions. Interesting use of server space.
  14. Great article! Thanks so much for sharing. It's well written and a great read. Nice work.
  15. QUOTE (Pags @ Jul 26 2011, 08:26 AM) This proves that even the sound of vomiting can have musicality. True true!
  16. I thought this thread was about the Movie - "That Thing You Do". Great flick!
  17. Are you sure All campgrounds are first come? That's not how the national park service usually works. Go here, http://www.recreation.gov and find the campground you want to stay in. Book your site online. BTW, the cabins are very cool.
  18. I will be seeing Maynard from Tool this weekend, just like every weekend my band plays in Jerome, AZ. He own a winery, Caduceus Cellars, and his store is right next to the club we play. He comes over to watch us and we go over and drink wine with him. Great guy, good wine, always fun to hang out with him.
  19. Now that the 4th has passed, I'm starting to receive the usual onslaught on photos and videos from our firework displays. Enjoy fireworks lovers! http://www.azpyro.com/images/2011/IMG_2851_web.jpg

Unless "she" is a huge Rush fan, then it would be very selfish of him to propose at this concert.
