QUOTE (Indica @ Sep 6 2004, 07:18 PM) QUOTE (Jack Aubrey @ Sep 6 2004, 02:27 PM) 'That Thing You Do'. Terrific movie. Did you come up with that on your own, or did a grown-up help you? Can't we keep this stuff in the Politics forum where it belongs?

"Red Barchetta" for me. "The Camera Eye" is a close second.

QUOTE (GhostGirl @ Sep 5 2004, 03:16 PM) QUOTE (1-0-0-1-0-0-1 @ Sep 5 2004, 01:45 PM) QUOTE (Earthshine @ Sep 5 2004, 02:29 PM) Not sure if this was pointed out yet (apologies if it was) but on the DVD, the Chapter entitled "It's one louder now, isn't it?" is Chapter 11. Nice pickup, Earthshine! I never noticed that, and for that I hang my head in shame! (I feel as if I just crushed an 11" Stonehenge monument!) I have both the MGM and Criterion DVDs, and it's the same on both versions. I would expect more, 1....I really would. I apologize humbly, and deeply... Now if you'll excuse me I have a puppet show (with Tap opening!) to attend! -

QUOTE (neilpeart_gal @ Sep 2 2004, 11:20 AM) Yes I LOVE the sig, thanks 1-0-0-1!! It's got black all around it in your sig, NPG. You saved the banner as a .jpg instead of a .png file. Try saving it again (from GG's sig) and reload it into Photobucket.

QUOTE (Moonraker @ Sep 2 2004, 01:00 AM) Driven and Half The World have videos too "Driven" is probably their coolest video. Definitely my favorite.

QUOTE (Moonraker @ Sep 1 2004, 08:11 PM) I would guess the answer, but I saw the clues, so not really fair. Where did you see the clues? In here or off the board?

QUOTE (BSG @ Aug 31 2004, 01:00 PM) Hey, 1! Looking at your avatar, I can't resist a little rendition of an oldie but goodie... "A candy-colored clown they call the sandman Tiptoes to my room every night...." "I'll send you a love letter. Straight from my heart, f***er!!"

This pretentious, ponderous collection of religious rock songs is enough to prompt the question, "What day did the Lord create Spinal Tap, and couldn't he have rested on that day too?" -

"Do me a favor? Just kick my ass, okay? Kick this ass for a man, that's all. Kick my ass. Enjoy. Come on. I'm not asking, I'm telling you. Kick my ass." -
What would they charge for a dram of that $4750.00 stuff in a bar?
-
Presto "I look down into a million houses"
-
Still "Mr. Soul" for me. It's the most dense, most Rush-like song on the album.
-
Here's one more for the liquor cabinet: http://www.beerliquors.com/images/baskets/macallan50decanter.jpg That's the 50 Year Macallan Gift Set. That's some mighty fine scotch for $4750.00!!!!

I like that second picture. So detailed!

Let's play.... I'm still lacking in the display area.... 27" Sony TV (a nice TV, but obviously small!) A Sony 110wx5 digital surround receiver A Toshiba DVD player w/ DTS (six years old!) A full set of Athena speakers - 2 AS-F1 towers; a AS-C1 center channel; 2 AS-R1 dipole surrounds. And the cornerstone of this setup...a 250w Velodyne subwoofer with a 15" driver. It shakes the baseboards in the dining room and the shutters outside....all while the sub's volume is set at 3.... I'm still waiting for all these companies to settle on a universal digital connection for these digital TVs and DVD players before I start shelling out the big bucks.
