  1. QUOTE (Moonraker @ Sep 9 2004, 02:23 AM) Much better, still a slight imperfection in the straight line , but its definatly workable. Was that imperfection near the edge of the rock, near the spotlight?
  2. Jeez, give me a minute to do some tweaking!
  3. I think we would need somebody neutral, neither right or left. That might just be me... I have modding experience, and I'm completely unbiased politically, so for now, and if RR and GG agree, I'll have my finger on the BAN button! (Nobody will get banned unless they turn into a complete troll. But I will delete posts if they get out of hand, so behave yourselves! )
  4. QUOTE (Jack Aubrey @ Sep 1 2004, 11:46 AM) I am very tempted to say: 'How can they go wrong?'. Don't jinx it, Jack!!
  5. Now that both of you got your shots in, can we keep this stuff confined to the Politics forum? Pretty please with sugar on top?
  6. This is what happens when overheated political discussions spill out onto the rest of the board. I hate politics. Shall we get back on topic? "Goodfellas" isn't a music-based film per se, but the way Scorcese used songs from the '70s and '80s to underscore the action in this film was genius. Especially the slide guitar and piano ending of "Layla" and Cream's "Sunshine Of Your Love."
  7. I just saw that in the Politics forum. That's why I edited my post above. Sorry about the assumption.
  8. QUOTE (Indica @ Sep 6 2004, 07:18 PM) QUOTE (Jack Aubrey @ Sep 6 2004, 02:27 PM) 'That Thing You Do'. Terrific movie. Did you come up with that on your own, or did a grown-up help you? Can't we keep this stuff in the Politics forum where it belongs?
  9. QUOTE (GhostGirl @ Sep 6 2004, 04:15 PM) "You'll never know the fear of losing someone like you when you're someone like me." Fatal Attraction?
  10. "Red Barchetta" for me. "The Camera Eye" is a close second.
  11. QUOTE (kamrahai @ Sep 6 2004, 01:31 AM) kam-ra-hai of course I like it!
  12. QUOTE (GhostGirl @ Sep 5 2004, 03:16 PM) QUOTE (1-0-0-1-0-0-1 @ Sep 5 2004, 01:45 PM) QUOTE (Earthshine @ Sep 5 2004, 02:29 PM) Not sure if this was pointed out yet (apologies if it was) but on the DVD, the Chapter entitled "It's one louder now, isn't it?" is Chapter 11. Nice pickup, Earthshine! I never noticed that, and for that I hang my head in shame! (I feel as if I just crushed an 11" Stonehenge monument!) I have both the MGM and Criterion DVDs, and it's the same on both versions. I would expect more, 1....I really would. I apologize humbly, and deeply... Now if you'll excuse me I have a puppet show (with Tap opening!) to attend!

  14. QUOTE (ladirushfan80 @ Sep 5 2004, 01:56 PM) i was not involved in or any part of any board war...or banning... therefore i have become a mere observer.... i appreciate you taking the time to inform the inquiring minds on this board... I sincerely hope the board war does not find its way here.
  15. QUOTE (neilpeart_gal @ Sep 2 2004, 11:20 AM) Yes I LOVE the sig, thanks 1-0-0-1!! It's got black all around it in your sig, NPG. You saved the banner as a .jpg instead of a .png file. Try saving it again (from GG's sig) and reload it into Photobucket.

  17. QUOTE (Moonraker @ Sep 2 2004, 01:00 AM) Driven and Half The World have videos too "Driven" is probably their coolest video. Definitely my favorite.
  18. QUOTE (Moonraker @ Sep 1 2004, 08:11 PM) I would guess the answer, but I saw the clues, so not really fair. Where did you see the clues? In here or off the board?
  19. QUOTE (BSG @ Aug 31 2004, 01:00 PM) Hey, 1! Looking at your avatar, I can't resist a little rendition of an oldie but goodie... "A candy-colored clown they call the sandman Tiptoes to my room every night...." "I'll send you a love letter. Straight from my heart, f***er!!"
  20. QUOTE (yankeeheel @ Aug 25 2004, 03:39 PM) B&W 603 fronts B&W 601 rears B&W 600 series center Ouch! I'd own B&W's if I could afford them.
  21. This pretentious, ponderous collection of religious rock songs is enough to prompt the question, "What day did the Lord create Spinal Tap, and couldn't he have rested on that day too?"
  22. "Do me a favor? Just kick my ass, okay? Kick this ass for a man, that's all. Kick my ass. Enjoy. Come on. I'm not asking, I'm telling you. Kick my ass."
  23. Presto "I look down into a million houses"
  24. Still "Mr. Soul" for me. It's the most dense, most Rush-like song on the album.
