  1. Cygnus X-1, Book II: Hemispheres In this one of many possible worlds All for the best, or some bizarre test?
  2. Here goes: wh tr knw wh ths flng nsd m sys ts tm ws gn clr hd nw lf hd ts tm ws kng nw nt jst n mr pwn
  3. Best I Can I do not find an absolute decision In my rational position Perhaps some things are instinctive But there is one thing you can do You can try to understand me- I can try to understand you. Distant Early Warning?
  4. Probably the only way that will ever happen is if FI2112 (Freewill in 2112, my RUSH-based musical) ends up becoming a thing, but that will probably never happen... and if it does, Geddy, Alex, and Neil will probably all be dead... and I'll have no way to get in contact with them when I'm old enough to have my own house and what not... meaning I'll never be able to speak to Neil and pay him his royalties and get all the rights to his lyrics... :(
  5. My family and I almost went to R40 in Philly, but it was too expensive. Now I wish we could have gone, knowing that it would be the end of 40 years and that I would almost certainly never see RUSH in concert again... :( I really want to meet RUSH now... Geddy Lee is a gentleman... :( :( ❤️
  6. My personal list: • Watch RUSH stuff • Sing RUSH • Post to this forum • Await Rushmas
  7. Anyone doing anything special this Thursday?
  8. Not quite sure of the theme other than that all the songs have been played live before. Or the theme could be to stick it to Neil as there is no drum solo listed. The theme is this: Every number you see above you is either currently, or was a part of, my RUSH-based musical Freewill in 2112. The cut songs were "Afterimage," "BBB," "Subdivisions," "The Trees," and "Entre Nous." Remove those songs, and you have the current song list for the show.
  9. Can you guess what it is? (And no, it's not the fact that there are so many audience participation numbers- the audience will sing to prevent Geddy from shooting his voice out permanently. Though, come to think of it, a sing-along RUSH concert? That would actually be pretty fun... though the audience would have to be assured beforehand that Geddy is NOT getting replaced!)
  10. Set 1: -Closer to the Heart -Working Man (shortened to about 4 min) -Red Barchetta -Limelight -Afterimage -Tom Sawyer -The Body Electric -Fly By Night (INSTRUMENTAL; audience will sing) -New World Man -The Spirit of Radio Set 2: -Red Sector A -Beneath, Between and Behind (INSTRUMENTAL; audience will sing) -Subdivisions -A Farewell to Kings -Something For Nothing (audience will sing chorus) -Marathon -YYZ -The Pass -The Trees (INSTRUMENTAL except for opening lines) -Freewill -Entre Nous -Anthem (INSTRUMENTAL; audience will sing) Encore: -The Garden -2112: Overture -2112: Temples of Syrinx -2112: Grand Finale END (There's a theme here...)
  11. By the way, there's also the INVERSE mnemonic: Take "Peart" and REMOVE the P and T. You're left with an ear. Hence, it's said like "ear."
  12. You might have your Morse Code a little mixed up- " In Morse code, the letter Y is "-.--" (dash dot dash dash) and the letter Z is "--.." (dash dash dot dot). Thus, YYZ becomes: "-.---.----.." or "dash dot dash dash dash dot dash dash dash dash dot dot". But yes, I enjoy seeing 2112 in random places! (And you can always put a new post in one of your old threads and that will bump it and bring it back to the top . . . ) Ah. Thank you!! I tried that with the original thread, and only one person put in a new comment...
  13. Largely because the original thread isn't attracting that many people nowadays. You know you're a RUSH fan when... 1: you have your AP English project be on Ghost Rider 2: you freak out whenever you see 2112 3: you correct anyone who says "pert" 4: the only Morse code you know is .--..--...-- (is that right?)
  14. ^^^ this is that super rare, unreleased song that was written when Neil was in his experimental, all-vowel haiku phase

  16. I will give you a lyric from a RUSH song but with the vowels removed. Your job is to guess the lyric and the RUSH song. I'll start: ws brght p t blv th nvrs hs pln w r nly hmn ts nt rs t ndrstnd
  17. Too easy. New World Man. Until last breath gone We are happy and painful We must be worthy of us I believe
  18. That's EXACTLY how Geddy described it, too:
  19. ...That's a joke, right? I always pronounced it “nile”, like the river. But “nail” is the original Latin pronunciation. Hello! :) Did you happen to see the note I sent you? No one says it the Latin way, though, so...
