  3. The counterpart to the “...Top 50 Worst...” thread. Go for it. :blaze:
  4. Nobody in their right mind would talk crap about McCartney. What more does that dude need to do to get respect? Turn water to wine? He probably could! Live and let die Earl thinks he's a bum. And I think he was talking shit about Lennon too. Maybe he has a theory that Ringo is the real brains behind the music or Yoko! :16ton: As I said, “nobody in their right mind”

  6. HAHAHA! FLOYD 2? Great list though! You have the "Cult Of Personality." So does Duck and I. Yeah sure. David Gilmour’s a hack and so were the other musical no talents he used to play with. Get the f**k out of here with that garbage - you love Steel Panther. That says it all. I'm shocked that MEHtallica are in your top 20JB! Master of Puppets and Ride The Lightning are way up on my list of good albums. Like VH, they've got some awesome albums then there’s just absolute crap. I've never been a fan to be honest and I bought Puppets way back in 1986. In those days their UK label was still Music For Nations. I know it’s fun for some to constantly rip on Lars but I never cared about him or all of the drama surrounding Metallica. Outside of their music, there are few bands that I know a lot about (or even care to).

  8. That`s my real life nickname... I wish my surname had been closer to Van Halen  What a coincidence - that’s one of my bro’s nicknames, “Maka”. It’s a play on his real name “Mark”, and always said with our mum’s Filipino accent. We all (including mum) still use it even though he’s over 50.
  9. Don’t worry - high school kids and school faculty members these days are just as ridiculous looking. Some 16 or 17 year old girl blinked in my direction yesterday and the wind created from her fake, huge, fanlike eyelashes nearly blew me through the window :P
  10. ALL OF IT!!!! Really though, the two I immediately thought of were the already mentioned Cult of Personality and this: ((‘Mountain Song’ by Jane’s Addiction)) http://youtu.be/1kAIMlISHhU
  11. It's hard to remember anything the next day! If you can remember guest musicians, obscure actors, album intricacies, tv show melodies, etc., then you can remember a stripper doing splits to Here I Go Again back in 1997. :P
  12. I haven`t been to a strip club. I`ve been to a lap dancing club once, but I was trying to strike up a conversation with a dancer who told me she was doing a nursing degree. I`m not really the man for such places... Lap dancing but no stripping? That’s weird to me. Some strip clubs had lap dances but there were no lap dance clubs without stripping.
  13. Certainly a dilemma. The Blaze clan is big. 6 bros including myself, wives, mom & dad, 4 nephews & nieces. And then there are close friends and whatnot who'd attend a holiday gathering. The parties are always epic. So generally, our Thanksgiving and Christmas parties are between 25-35 people and are held at the eldest Blaze bro's place from around 2pm-10pm. His place is pretty big but not 25-35 people big. Given mom & dad's ages (84 & 81 respectively) and past health issues, Thanksgiving was cancelled. MikeyBlaze, the eldest, is also wanting to cancel the Christmas party but he's getting some opposition from one of the SILs. Nobody's really nasty but things can be misunderstood or exaggerated as expected. Plus, Mikey's a bit sensitive and tends to get stressed easily. He suggested everyone getting tested IF they truly want to make it safe for mom & dad. Just to be sure. It's not an extreme measure imho especially since one of our college age nieces tested positive last summer (asymptomatic). Plus, she's a social butterfly so who knows who she meets regularly. In fact, that niece just graduated from uni last weekend and had a 20-person party of family and close friends at a restaurant. Mom & dad were planning on going but were talked out of it the day before by a couple of Blaze brothers. Good call imho. Anyhoo, most Blaze were a bit subdued in regards to MikeyBlaze's "everyone get tested" route for the Christmas party so it's still up in the air whether or not it'll happen...but it probably won't. I wouldn't be going either way since I'm all the way over here in Japan and the party would be in Florida. But we've been having regular weekly Blaze Brother Skype meetings since last spring. When MikeyBlaze asked what I thought I told him something very close to this, "I wouldn't have the party or go. I'd rather have healthy family members pissed at me than have loads of guilt due to unhealthy and/or dead family members. At best, the party will go down as a lot of fun as usual. At worst,...yeah. Is it worth the gamble?" :blaze:

Probably me! :blaze:
  15. I assumed most TRF adult hetero males have been to a strip club. If so, you don’t remember what music they played? Of course you do. It’s been ages but here are a few that I remember... You can decide whether they’re metal or not, and it was the 90s so hence the songs played, i.e. well-known and not THAT old then: Here I Go Again Man in the Box Welcome to the Jungle Pour Some Sugar On Me :blaze:
  16. Do you count 2112 as one song? Hemispheres? If so, that’s two songs on my list :blaze: It's up to whoever it is, some people like to split them up and some people like to count them as one song no matter what. With it being a hypothetical concert it doesn't matter that those two songs add up to 40 minutes, they still count as two songs in the 20. Rush proved they could play three hours anyway. We'll assume that RUSH are at their peak of playing ability whenever that was, but all albums are available for the purposes of the thread. Excellent. :blaze:

  18. ....wow me too, lol It’s probably not too surprising. Both were musical gods. Both extremely versatile. Both are great examples of why putting artists within a musical genre is pointless.
  19. In my head I can hear competent versions of Bowie singing Purple Rain, and Prince singing Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes.
  20. Not even One Little Victory or some video Beavis And Butthead mocked? Kicking out Bastille Day, 2112, or the like to make setlist space for OLV doesn’t make much sense to me, especially when the latter clearly isn’t as metal.
