  1. Both of these guitarists have a pretty similar style of playing, both are shredders and both use a tapping technique. My choice is Steve Vai, because I think he technically surpassed EVH and I enjoyed his guitar playing more than Eddie's. Your choice?
  2. I am not a fan of classical music, but I absolutely adore Pachelbel's Canon - all-time masterpiece! So it's my choice. Your choice?
  3. Your choice between these first two Maiden records? I've gotta go with S/T.
  4. The actor of your choice? I like both, but have to go with Walken.
  5. I think the same about AC/DC - a totally overrated band. Thin Lizzy are very underrated compared to AC/DC!
  6. What are in your opinion some Rush songs which lacks a charisma? It doesn't mean that you think they are not good or you don't like them. I will go with: Losing It, the whole B-side of the album 2112 (A passage to Bangkok, Something for nothing, Tears, Lessons and Twilight zone), Different strings, Witch hunt (I like this song a lot, but I think in some ways it lacks a charisma),Fly by night, Closer to the heart.
  7. Jailbreak is not an overexposed and overused song as HtH and very good good, so it's an easy choice for me. What you say?
  8. Space Truckin easily superior musically to Baba O'Reilly? I guess we hear things very differently. I didn't mean these two albums, but bands generally.
  9. The Who is a very great band, but in terms of musicianship Deep Purple are easily superior!
  10. This would be interesting. Pick a side. For me RiP, hands down! I always thought Blizzard as a metal album is more praised and popular than it really deserves. And I can't stand Crazy Train, one of the most overhyped metal songs.
  11. Top 10: 1.La Villa 2.Freewill 3.Necromancer 4.Limelight 5.By-Tor & the Snow Dog 6.Anthem 7.The Analog Kid 8.The Trees 9.Xanadu 10.Between the Wheels.
  12. Between these two big rock classics your choice is?
  13. Iommi > Lifeson Geddy > Butler Peart >> Ward According to the quality of music catalog Black Sabbath = Rush. Tie! According to the importance and influence in the rock history Black Sabbath by a mile! But overall it's tie for me.
  14. I will go with Love over Gold, because of superb tracks Telegraph Road, Private Investigations and Industrial Disease.
  15. I think he stays in tune just fine but the timbre of his voice is unique and not what we usually consider to be great singing a la Dylan and Hendrix. Dylan a great singer? AH HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! If you don't like Dylan's voice then I suppose you don't like a voice of Mark Knopfler?
  16. The folk rock musician of your preference? For me Neil Young all the way, though I like Seger. I think Young as a songwriter is far superior than Seger. My fave albums by Neil: After the Gold Rush, Harvest, Tonight's the Night. My only fave album by Bob: Night Moves.
  17. For me pre-Stevie Nicks era by far, esp.with bluesy Peter Green, who is much better guitarist than a pop guitarist Lindsay Buckingham. Not a fan of Stevie Nicks at all, she never was a rocker. Your opinions?
  18. Which RJD period is the best for you? For me Rainbow, hands down.
  19. Between these two overplayed(in the USA) big classics what is your pick? Free Bird for me, hands down. I prefer LS over Eagles.
  20. Eagles is a very good example of rock band which is very popular, sold tons of records in the USA, but they were never critically acclaimed.
  21. Which of these two thrash metal titans you prefer: MoP or RiP? Defo my choice will be Rust, because Dave Mustaine proved on this album that he is a superb musician and composer.
