  1. Saw GVF in Minneapolis - 3 weeks later saw Priest at the same venue. Talent aside, GVF WAS NOT ready to be opening at that point - I n ew it when I saw them and that was reinforced after seeing Priest. Apples and oranges? Maybe - but GVF needed a lot more maturing.
  2. I saw Mike Shinoda has a new sick puppet video which reminded me that I seem to recall hearing that the original subdivisions video, which aired just once or twice before being replaced with the one we all know, was done with sock puppets. Can’t find anything on google so...am I crazy or anyone else ever hear this?
  3. Would be a short book - “I hate our fans.” N. Peart.
  4. I was riding the bus to school in 8th grade when the local “tough chick” got on the bus with her big boom box. Bus driver starts driving when I hear the first notes of Tom Sawyer - blew my mind. Wasn’t even much of a music fan st all before that. The bus driver then started bitching at the tough chick to turn it down and she was yelling back and I couldn’t hear the music. Eventually, she shuts it off and we got to school. I then spent the rest of the day asking around if anybody knew who that band was. Kind of funny, only one kid did (aside from the tough chick). I was hooked ever more. Guess I should have mentioned MP had just come out.

  6. Ok, this isn't another one of those "hey, what if ged and al blah blah blah threads. Rather, it's a what if Neil worked with other musicians? I know, he won't, but if....would you go see him with a different band? What current bands might be a good fit, etc. Sure, he'd rather drink and smoke and bitch but what if!
  7. It looks like this might have come from a tour book but I posted all the original snapshots from the filming of this vid about seven years ago! Not sure where on Trf they might have gone but I have about twenty five originals
  8. Man, I hope your tongue is firmly in cheek! An opinion is an opinion but the whole 'other people don't know what they are talking about...etc' is crazy. Thus, I give you the benefit of the doubt that you are being sarcastic! Cheers
  9. According to Wikipedia (I know, I know) the Toronto Telegram, which they reference, went out of business in 71 so this must have been filmed in 71 which would explain the age difference

  11. Hey principled man, why the hell are you so fired up about foh lights? Right or wrong, you are so strident that you sound like a five year old who can't stand that somebody might, just might, know more than you. Why don't you go back through all of his past posts and check his accuracy. There are two types of evidence: direct and circumstantial and neither is afforded more weight than the other. Foh posts have plenty of circumstantial evidence that you can choose to ignore but quit whining about it. Let's imagine he is lying...so what? Is it worth all the griping you are doing about it?
