  4. Are you referring to the repeated note?? My friend and I always joke about how that's Geddy's "proudest piano" Yes!! The part where Geddy pounds on the same note followed by a glissando Haha, it definitely sounds like his happiest piano!
  5. The Spirit of Radio (love the keyboard part at the end ) Natural Science The Fountain of Lamneth Red Barchetta The Camera Eye and 2112 of course
  6. According to my iTunes library: Subdivisions Analog Kid Afterimage Kid Gloves Cinderella Man Something for Nothing Lock and Key Xanadu Emotion Detector Mystic Rhythms A rather random mix, but it only accounts for the number of plays on my laptop

  12. Thanks for what you wrote. I actually do think the art teacher in question (she was a better English teacher than she was an art teacher) kind of killed an confidence I might have had. I don't remember her ever actually teaching us about brush techniques or anything; she just told us to paint. It could be that I was so completely girl-focused at the time that I didn't hear any actual lessons. I was better at sketching. But I pretty much gave it all up for years and years after. I'm one of those artists who can never quite get the proportions right. If I draw a face, the nose will be just a bit too low, or one eye will be bigger than the other. I understand where you're coming from. I struggle with proportions as well. I'll be halfway through a painting, realize the proportions are all out of whack, and be like "oh well, no f***s given at this point" I'm also alright at pencil sketching, but when it comes to using any sort of paint paint I destroy everything I touch. It's a shame your teacher didn't appreciate your drawing though. I say pick up a brush again, because judging from that picture you've definitely got some talent
  13. No love for Alex? No bizarre transformations happened to Alex, but he was absolutely shredding on a violin :P
  14. A week before my R40 show, I was so excited I had silly dreams about seeing them for three nights in a row. Don't quite remember the details, but in one of them, Geddy came on stage dressed in a suit looking all dapper, and the guys started playing classical music Geddy then physically transformed into Neil mid-song and took on the drums. Actual Neil whipped out a cello and started playing away; no questions were asked. I haven't dreamt about them since
  15. That's actually a very cool painting, toymaker! You're a better artist than you give yourself credit for. One thing I'll never quite understand is how subjective art teachers were in high school--makes me remember how much I hated them, haha
  16. Thanks for the birthday wishes everyone!! And thanks TOG for starting this thread :P
  17. Hahaha, sorry I missed this last night! Thanks, Lucas for the happy dancing fellow!!! (although he does look a bit insane ) :dweez:
