My friend is staying over for a week. 4:30am and she is currently next to me snoring louder than a thunderstorm, hogging all the covers, taking up 3/4 of the bed with her knee shoved into my back while periodically grunt-shouting random phrases in her sleep. I'm 19 now, and when I was about 15 or 16 I stumbled across Tom Sawyer. It captured my interest and made me want to check out the rest of Moving Pictures, which I came to love. I ventured onto 2112 next and it completely blew me away, but for some reason I didn't go much further from there. About two years ago I began digging deeper into their catalogue starting with AFTK and Grace Under Pressure. These albums introduced me to some of their deeper cuts and kick started my love for the band. From then on I have been completely hooked, and seeing them live in Vancouver this summer further solidified that fact

This song was love at first listen for me. One of my favourites for sure and the lyrics really resonate with me. The hilariously cheesy video is a bonus--it's my go to whenever I need a laugh

They certainly seem to hate it LC, which probably dates back to the xanaconductor fiasco of 1991. I agree with the songs you like,and dare I say that I would even add red tide to the like list . I didn't know about Xanaconductor until you brought it up. Not sure I feel about that sudden segue, seeing as I always need a minute to recollect myself after listening to Xanadu Red Tide actually gets stuck in my head a lot! Haha Right before R40 began, it was discussed so much on TRF it's actually a suggested word on my phone when I type Xanadu. There was a strong pre tour rumor on TRF from a guy who knows a guy, that Prelude was going to morph into Far Cry on R40 due to the same chords on each. So the fun yet scary comparisons to Xanaconductor were aplenty. . Too bad I missed all of that

Presto is a great album! I always reach for it when I'm drawing; it sets the perfect mood My favourites are The Pass, War Paint, Presto, Available Light, and Show Don't Tell Hand Over Fist, Chain Lightning and Anagram are good, but I don't care too much for Scars and Red Tide. Superconductor is a pretty groovy tune although lots of people seem to hate it haha

It's pretty disturbing when you're in an elevator full of people and every one of them is typing away on their phone the entire time. They probably do it to avoid eye contact because who the f**k gets that many texts? It also drives me insane when I'm hanging out with a friend and they're constantly on their phone. It's incredibly rude IMO, and unless you're having a damn crisis please don't do that. It honestly shouldn't be that hard to spend one-on-one time with someone.

At approximately the same time as you posted this, I was also in awe of the Northern Lights! That was easily the most impressive I've ever seen, too--what a nice thing, to learn that we'd "shared" the experience :cheers:Cool,The whole sky was blazing with them. I went outside a little bit later and looked straight up and saw what looked like a huge whirlpool display. I came back inside and listened to. Cygnus X-1 :D I've always wanted to see the Northern Lights. To lie underneath them while listening to Cygnus X-1--that's the stuff of dreams
