  1. Good choice with the Pixies although I would have gone with Surfer Rosa myself.
  2. Thanks for putting Fleetwood Mac back in and thanks also for putting my name in parentheses in. I will try to keep an eye on that in the future. ;)
  3. Oh for crying out loud. Could someone please make sure that it says Fleetwood Mac for Rumors at number 161 when this main list keeps posting? Stop posting an old copy for pete's sake. Geesh. It was on the last few from 100 on then someone posted an older version(of the full list) and it got left off because it was copy and pasted before it was corrected. Yeah, 99 percent of us know who released "rumors" but still...... :P
  4. Yeah, school days is a great one. Nice to finally see some fusion on here.
  5. I'm glad someone added the Violent Femmes. That's a great album. Maybe the Smiths and the Cure aren't too far behind. ;)
  6. I'm surprised we have hit 200 and there isn't a single ELP album on here(yet).
  7. Ha ha. May as well. :P I think if that were to happen though we should all say screw it and not care if something turns up as a double or not. That would be a lot of work going through the whole list trying to figure out if something has been repeated.
  8. It would be nice to do it every so often(like say after every 100)in case some people want to copy and paste it and have the whole list in a physical copy(which I plan on doing). Anyway, on with the show. 197. Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness- The Smashing Pumpkins How many well known double rock albums can you think of? Most of them are from the seventies right? The Smashing Pumpkins changed that with this release. However, they kept the bombast that made much of those seventies concept albums so much fun. There are so many different things going on with this album. There's metal, grunge, alternative, soft/mellow stuff and even a bit of prog. There's even a mellotron on here. Great stuff and a classic 90's alternative rock album.
  9. So we don't have to post the whole list anymore?
  10. Yes will end up with more albums on this list than Rush has . The "I love the 80's" Yes crowd really hasn't even showed up yet either... :codger: They are mostly female and mostly hang out on youtube defending owner of a lonely heart and love will find a way. LOL. Actually, I like all eras of the band but people who only know the 80's stuff could possibly get their minds blown if they hear something like "gates of delierium" or "Perpetual change."
  11. Take your time. I'm sure no one else will beat you to it. I personally like the second one a lot but that's just me.
  12. I put it there. My second favourite album (arguably my favourite but nostalgia beats it) So, what's number one for you then?

Fragile - Yes (New World Man) One of the first albums I bought by them in the eighties after getting into them. A classic album that doesnt' need much of an introduction to music fans. "Roundabout" and "heart of the sunrise" are among YES's best and most well known but the whole thing sounds great and is a very enjoyable musical experience.
  14. Ok, thanks. My next one will be one I'll have to be very careful with. Thanks for letting me have it and I'll try not to drop the ball. :)
  15. Yep, unfortunately this place is not a self cleaning oven. TFTO is a very interesting musical experience. I have to be in the mood and have lots of time. It's maybe one of those albums you listen to with the lights out. I can understand people not liking it. I personally think it's very good but not in my top four or five years albums. I think it's on here already though. Not sure.
  16. 1. Yes, Voyage is the best album Genesis never made. However, Anthony Phillips "Gheese and the Ghost" is really great too and would be the second best probably. 2. RE: The Yes Album. My dad had it when I was a kid. I didn't pay attention to it until later. I became a big fan mainly because of their 80's hits and 90125 but when I dug into their back catalog there was no going back. It is a classic album for sure and if nobody mentioned it I would add it since it is on my list here(yes, I have a sheet of paper with albums I intend to add. However, some of you are beating me to the punch. Good for you. ;) ).
  17. Glad to see other Rush fans are also pretty big Yes fans. Maybe it's a prog thing.
  18. Already on at #57. I was going to add it, but was beaten to it. My favourite Yes album - Awaken still sends shivers down my spine more than 30 after I first heard it. I just changed it! It is a classic! First Yes album I ever heard (but it didn't leave an impression until AFTER I heard Tales). Same with me. As a huge Yes fan I have an opinion on this. I actually think "awaken" could almost be an outtake from Tales (same exact lineup for one thing).
  19. Wow, Voyage of the Acolyte is a really great album. My cd booklet of that is autographed by Steve actually. Not sure why I didn't think of that one. I didn't even think to put it on my list(paper list). Shame on me. Oh well.
  20. It took a little bit of tweaking but I did it and fixed everything so now it's updated.
  21. 129. Seventh Son of a Seventh Son - Iron Maiden (J2112YYZ) 130. Misplaced Childhood – Marillion (greyfriar) 131. Unplugged - Eric Clapton (goose) 132. Relayer – Yes (New_World_Man) 133. 22. Let's all acknowledge ReGorlatroy's "Wings"- Venus and Mars and make djflex's "Lateralus" by Tool entry as 180. :)
  23. He was playing it in the living room and thought the audience noise was his wife and friends yelling at him from the kitchen. :D
