  1. It's good. Next to ITTOD it's probably considered their weakest (not counting Coda of course). However, I much prefer ITTOD as controversial as that opinion is. Achilles Last Stand is definitely the best track on Presence imo.
  2. I don't have anything planned but I woud like to see Peter Gabriel. If I go it will probably be a last minute decision.
  3. This little band that some of you might have heard of called Yes is dropping (man, I hate that term) a new album next week called Mirror To The Sky. Historically, I'm a huge fan but based on the little I heard so far I'm not super excited by it.
  4. Sad news. I wanted to play my compilation cd I have of his but the latest Porcupine Tree was hiding in it's place. Oh well. RIP Gordon.
  5. I'll have to think about it. I probably know Pete Pardo better than anyone here and I have to say some of these options seem a bit petty and mean spirited (even if meant in jest). For one thing he's been married for a long time and is very busy so I doubt he has any time to waste on someone on here (no offense to Blueschica who I'm sure is very lovely in her own right). With a handful of exceptions Pete has probably done more for prog and hard rock than anyone I can think of and is one of the most dedicated and passionate music fans there is.
  6. My brother is a big fan of them. I'm a moderate fan at best. I find it interesting that they are now playing stadiums when I can think of bands who are more legendary who are playing arenas if not smaller. Oh well. I suppose at this point they are one of those bands where the parents and kids are into them.
  7. No concerts lined up unfortunately. I also wouldn't mind seeing PG but tickets are too much and I don't really go to shows by myself anymore.
  8. Gentle Giant is a band every progressive rock fan should know about and listen to. RIP Ray.
  9. You Bet Your Life (finishing up listening to RTB)
  10. It's nice to know people are keeping tabs on me here. ;) Actually I posted in late February on the main page. I basically come and go. I'm not really a "regular" member on here.
  11. #3. I don't really do favorites much anymore but I'll just go by what I considered my favorites in the past. Rush was (and I guess still are) number 2 for me behind Yes. Yes will probably always be number one even though they kind of lost their way a while ago. Rush at least knew when to hang up the hat and call it quits.
  12. I've only seen Rush four times with a twenty year gap between shows. My first was on the Hold Your Fire tour in the fall of 1987.
  13. I think Rush became "cool" again when they returned to a heavier approach with Counterparts. I regret not seeing them then.
  14. I saw a show where the whole top part was blocked off because they didn't sell enough tickets. But I also saw an outdoor show that must have had about 25 to 30,000 in attendance (if not more). I had rather good seats on the floor and remember doing a lip synch contest with the guy next to me to "circumstances."
  15. I guess what I meant was I don't understand why you are asking me that.
  16. Genesis - Calling All Stations (yeah, yeah, I know.....people would consider it at least good if it was recorded by someone else) Deep Purple - Machine Head Rush - Caress Of Steel
  17. I think I'm going bald (and then the rest of CoS)
