  1. Yep. Heartbreaking story. Found by by a Sony talent scout when busking at 19 yrs old. Signed, and begins working on a debut album. Starts having debilitating health problems that halt the recording of his album. Long story short, he spends most of the next 7 years bed bound and only making music in his bedroom when he felt well enough which wasn't that often. Basically gets diagnosis of Chronic fatigue and psychosis. 7 years later he he was diagnosed with Lyme disease which ran unabated for 7 years. Doing massive damage to his immune system and brain. A stem cell transplant finally gave him enough improvement to work on his music again. But the damage to his body remains. He is currently in Canada receiving intensive treatments to rebuild his immune system and help reverse the damage to his brain. Knowing he would be in Canada for up to a year, in 2022 he recorded 2 albums worth of music. One hip hop/rap album, and one with more conventional song. He's currently releasing his rap type stuff about once a month and it's been really great. Here's a couple of favorites from his recent past that I think are great.
  2. DW Drums documentary that was put on YouTube 11/27/19 I've cued the video up to where they show the making of the R40 drum kit, with a nice interview with Neil. With bonus jamming on the kit!!!!!! https://youtu.be/gzt-PaR0XUw?t=2715
  3. It's easy to see who Neil's real friends were. The people trying to show that they knew the most are just looking for attention.
  4. So many moments of inspiration. The thing that Rush music and lyrics always gave me? Hope.
  5. They are, and will always be my boys!!!! Uma Thermos... :laughing guy:
  6. All the highlights of that headlong flight Holding on with all my might Some days were dark I wish that I could live it all again Some nights were bright I wish that I could live it all again Today feels pretty dark.
  7. I can't pretend a stranger is a long awaited friend. But it sure doesn't feel that way. RIP Pratt.

  11. ATWAS was Geddy at his absolute peak IMO. If he thought it, he could sing it. The Hemispheres bootlegs show Ged struggling to maintain that high range in every song. That's why I think Permanent Waves have pretty much all songs in a much lower range. From there I think his voice aged gracefully up through Snakes And Arrows Live. I love this voice too. Understandably the last few years have been more of a struggle. Singing hard rock for 40 years will do that to a guy. :D I wish that we could do it all again. :)
  12. Signals, G/P, Power Windows, HYF, Presto, RTB, Counterparts, T4E. All in Buffalo except Presto in Toronto.
  13. From ATWAS My spirits are low in the depths of despair My lifeblood... ...Spills over...

  20. Oh relax. It's okay. :) If you knew how much I've already drank, you would know i'm very relaxed. :D
  21. The constant focus on Geddy's voice every show is tiring. He's 61. He's Singing Rush songs. He has a break in his voice that's not going away. We get it. He's Kicking Ass!!!
  22. My band has a gig Sat. Night. This is my last chance. C'Mon Man!!!!!!!
  23. +1 Take some time on this DVD/Blu Ray. If this will be the last of the big productions available to us then do it right. My requests would be audio production (please have some separation/depth in the audio) and camera cuts (less is more). As a bonus some isolation camera views would be cool and any of the soundchecks as extras... You shouldn't worry too much about audio, David Bottril is mixing it. He's the guy who remixed VT. Geez. Now I feel better. Thanks... Can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not. I thought he did a good job. It'll sound a hell of a lot better than CA Tour He did a really good job but I thought he took too many liberties with the remix. I wish he would've listened to the original mix a little bit more. But this should definitely sounds better than the CA tour For the record I was being sarcastic. Most of the stuff live or studio that I have heard from them since the turn of the century has been sub par to lousy. Just my opinion... I think S&A sounds really good. I wish Richard Chycki had mixed CA instead of Nick R.
