  1. Al by far. Eddie has chops and a vibe. He was innovative. But he's no Lerxst. I'm certain that Al can play like Eddie if he wanted to. But Al is on a whole different level - the chords and textures, his ability to fill spaces. All the melodic chaotic stuff. Eddie can only dream of playing an LVS.
  2. Well, there's no bread..... let them eat selling england by the pound cake............ Supper's Ready?
  3. So you don’t want or need 2400 bones? Or is this satire too? I'm not saying that it's not a lot of money. And yeah, like everyone else I'll cash my check. What I'm saying is that for a life damaged long term by unemployment, it's not a lot of money. $2400 only goes so far. So you’ll take the “joke” then. Okay, got it. Really, you got it? OK, then explain to me what you 'got' out of my statement. Please. Man, stop jacking off and just take care of yourself Just what I thought. Thanks for the information. Okay then. I’ll answer. Even though I already did in my 2nd post to you. Many of you guys are complaining about how the money is being allocated and that it should be used for medical research/medicine. I’m not against that. Who would be? But then you guys have no issue taking the money and using it for your own wants or needs. If you guys really felt the money should be used for medical research, then donate it to medical research. All of it. I never said what I'd do with it. I just said that I'd cash the check. You make a fair point about donating to research. In truth, I hadn't considered that. But it's a good idea. Thank you. Edit. Maybe $2112 in Neil's name to...something.
  4. A lot of organizing. Playing more bass than I have in a long time. Catching up on organizing old photos, digitizing, etc. Reading. I have to admit that the social distancing isn't too much of a stretch for me. I'm a natural introvert - but that doesn't mean that i don't go stir crazy after a while. My wife however is more restless, and social - the distancing is harder for her. We've been in the bunker since the 2nd week of February. Saw this coming, via Reddit. Am honestly concerned about catching this thing, even after the stay at home stuff is lifted at some point. I am hoping that the virus mutates into a non-deadly form. Some of the research out of Korea is indicating that it may well do so. Saw a Eurpoean writep along the same lines last week. Virus' that kill too quick can't spread. Unfortunately, it may take a while as it seems to spread for a long time pre-symptoms. So not as much evolut6ionary pressure to change. We will see.

  7. Pete Townsend, John Entwhistle. Pete was tired that night, John was a true gentleman. Met Simon Phillips the same night, had a little talk about his time in Judas Priest, before he ran off to do a small club show (after playing with The Who at Giants Stadium). Everyone from Twisted Sister, except for Dee - at a record signing. I also met AJ Pero 2 other times, just out on the street and in a store. He was very cool and kind. I'd known a semi famous guitar player when we were kids living on the same street. Haven't seen the guy in 25 years, but he's pretty responsible for me loving metal. He was an amazing player by the time we were 16, and he and a dear friend used to jam away in the bedrooms and garages. Like listening to the guys from Metallica - right there. I'm not going to say who it is. He was in a major band for a long time, and is now involved in projects. I met John Petrucci one evening in 2009. He was out on the road by himself and stopped at an overlook in NJ. I was there taking photos. He walked up and asked me the way to the Atlantic Highlands. I told him. I thought twice about mentioning that I knew who he was. Didn't. The guy was traveling alone, that meant he wanted to be left alone. I did meet DT at some meet and greets. Post-Portnoy. John and John were both very nice. Petrucci one time suggested that I travel to see the band in Italy. I probably should have done that. Those are the major ones.

  9. $2400 isn't going to solve anyone's major problems. It's a joke.
  10. There's over 4000 confirmed cases in 49 states. It's definitely here and certainly should be a concern but it's not time for a full on panic yet. They're taking the proper measures I believe in the limitations they've made in my state when it comes to big get togethers. It's gonna be different for a while but we'll get back to some normalcy soon enough. I think people are overreacting over here actually. At least it doesn't make total sense why everything's shutting down indefinitely for this one, but Swine Flu and Bird Flu and Sars and Ebola and ever other major health scare of the past 20 years didn't have half this effect. But oh well, people overreacting is probably what will keep the US from winding up like China in this mess... Overreacting is putting it mildly... That's the mindset that will get people killed. The time to react is a month ago. We should have been hunkering down then. If we all did, then this thing would have had a fair chance of dying out by now. Instead we are at least one order of magnitude worse off (amount of spread) than we were. It will keep spreading unchecked unless we limit humans contact with each other. I cannot conceive of people's inability to understand these simple concepts. Let's come back to this post in a month. We'll see who's right. Almost 2 weeks. How are we doing?
  11. I've said this before - I feel bad that I ever commented on him in a negative way. Especially after the band ended. I had no idea what was going on. Really sorry about that - and I hope he or those near him never read a word of it.
  12. How very cool. I liked I through IV, moody, different. Looking forward to adding these to the collection. Thank you Trent!
  13. Get off the ORFromancer's lawn. Happy BDay dude!
  14. Turns out that you can't buy a Taser anymore. They are out of stock. Yeah, I'm getting a little ansy about how bad things might get. Trying to think ahead.
  15. Charlotte NC: Billy Joel. Metallica. I probably would have gone down to New Orleans to see Zebra this year. Had my wife convinced and everything. Not happening this year. (I've seen them on Long Island enough times, want to see them in their hometown at least once). Just about anything else this year. Haven't bothered to look at Ticketmaster. The situation is depressing enough as it is.
  16. had a recurring dream in the late 90's and early 2000's that I was at a Rush show in a small indoor amphitheater. No more than 30 rows all the way around 3/4 of the stage. Almost a small theater in size. I was close. The amazing thing was that the music they were playing was Rush, but it was songs that we've never heard before. Like, alternate reality Rush. No - I don't remember any of the music. I wish I did, believe me. Edit: These days I have the same kind of recurring dream. It's seeing DT open for Rush at some big stadium in New Jersey. It feels like the Meadowlands, and where the Meadowlands is, in Rutherford. But it's not. Then leaving that show, and driving down to Sayerville to see DT again in the same night, in a ridiculously small club. A secret show kind of thing. The Sayerville club doesn't exist either. Very lucid. I wake up thinking that I've dreamed about shows I've been to. I know it's my subconscious. But If I didn't know any better I'd be thinking that I've lived in another reality for a little while. That's how real my dreams are sometimes.

Hold the trade confirms high in hand !!
  18. How do they have 1000 Star Destroyers buried in the planet? Who built them? Did they bring the entire Corelleian Shipbuilding Indistry to the Unknown Regions? What's it like serving on a buried Star Destroyer? How long did that go on for? Why bury them? We've seen Star Destroyers leave atmosphere before. Why couldn't they this time out? Good thing they were trapped....otherwise that cavalry attack on the hull wouldn't have worked out.
  19. I don't know if I have 10. Nickel and Dime Separate Ways Wheel In The Sky
  20. I watch it on and off. Usually when I'm channel hopping at night. Great geek show, love it.
  21. As this ends? Well, first it has to end. We're a long way from that, unfortunately.
