  1. Disembodied Spirit' Plus touring in Europe is rare in the fall/ winter...so I don't see it Rush toured Europe during the falls of 2004 and 2007; obviously, as all other bands, you can't play the Open Airs card during those months but indoor arenas are Rush dimension here around anyway. The sadly point is that I'm speaking of arenas sometimes half (or a third) empty. IMO only a UK tour would be profitable once they cross the pond.
  2. Yes, I'm gonna know the setlist in advsnce, I simply can't help it. And I found it useful in the past to avoid a long queue for a beer just after intermission.
  3. I remember a friend of mine reviewing the RiR DVD at the time saying: "You watch it and then you realize that everything else you have seen and listened to in decades is worthless!" At the time I could only agree. Then R30....

    Addiction...

I'm not free from this kind of addiction that 'distresses' me, regarding not only Rush but at least another couple of bands. I guess sooner of later I'll find myself seated in a circle of chairs with some mates confessing "Hi, I'm a music fan and collector...."
  5. "Far Cry" (with "I Think I'm Going Bald" always lurking)
  6. it's a nightmarish scenario but it don't belong to a science fiction screenplay; maybe they will consider just a UK trip. Honestly, continental Europe seems to have lost much appeal for other great bands: for instance, Paris and Amsterdam are the only continental stops for The Who in 2015 (as happened in 2013). In any case if we add this to the possible lesser number of dates in America and to the ticket market nowadays, future don't look so relaxing.
  7. call NASA after the show and persuade them to launch a Voyager updated version to the Universe including Rush full catalogue, because mankind can't do better
  8. I'm not famous for being optimistic (well, I'm not famous at all...) but got the feeling it's too early for the final speech (loving the words anyway)
  9. Quoting myself in another topic, just want to remind that during their last European trip Rush played just 10 gigs (and one was an open air festival), and I think that just two of them (London for sure and maybe Manchester or Amsterdam) had the same attendance figures of American shows. I went to Berlin and I think there were less than 10K people (8K/9K I suppose) Honestly coming again would be an act of love devoted to us fans living on this shore of the ocean but adding another American leg would be easier and surely even more profitable. Given also the dynamics involved, I would not blame them for not coming this time, but I hope they'll be back at least for a future tour following a new album.
  10. the number of European gigs have decreased in the tours since 2004: if I remember correctly they played 15 shows in Europe during R30, then 12 or 13 During S&A and TM and just 10 in 2013, including the Sweden Rock Festival, unlikely to be repeated in autumn (let alone winter). as a European I'd love to see the band crossing once again the ocean, but honestly this time I wouldn't bet a fortune on it
  11. Madison Square Garden will be my ninth (and only of R40 tour). was a maiden until R30, then Milan 2004 Prague 2004 Milan 2007 Glasgow 2011 Newark 2012 Brooklyn 2012 London 2013 Berlin 2013 gettin' tougher as years go by and I'm definetely not getting younger....
