  1. I've lived in Alberta (near Calgary) all of my life, and this is the first time I've seen or heard of Pinto MacBean. Bow Island is a couple hours south of Calgary.
  2. Bootlegguy- Really enjoyed the show! Had a great seat on the floor (Row 4), so had an amazing view of the band. I had been avoiding spoilers for the most part in terms of set list, and did not watch one live clip. So I was glad to hear BTW, and TCE. Highlights for me were The Wreckers, Jacobs Ladder and Xanadu. The Clockwork stuff is really growing on me live, and I also really dug Animate in the set. On a side note, it was the first show that I have seen where Alex didn't seem to be his bobbity self. His playing was great, he just seemed to be wincing at times. He was better in the 2nd set for sure, but it makes me think the arthritis is probably bugging him big time. Ged was on fire! Still have not received my VIP swag, anyone have any info?
  3. I'm not sure if Jacobs Ladder is my fave RUSH tune, but it's close. It just flows and is very cohesive. They were firing on all cylinders when the wrote and recorded it.
  4. I don't think they would play it all strictly due to time. That T4E show on R40 is killer!
  5. Love it. No words can describe.
  6. I wasn't a huge fan of this or Power Windows at the time, but as I've gotten older, I love both records and listen to them quite often.
  7. I've always loved vinyl for the art and a bit of nostalgia. However, I don't have any great equipment to spin it on ,so I stick to CD's. I do collect some vinyl (KISS, Rush) because i enjoy having it and it's a fun hobby. Just read an interesting piece about vinyl and Neil Young. He calls it a fashion statement (and to some it certainly is). Made me curious. Could the new pressings from Rush, KISS or even Zep be from a digital master and not the originals? http://www.billboard.com/articles/business/6458311/neil-young-calls-vinyl-comeback-a-fashion-statement
  8. For the 70's stuff that I'd like to hear that could be realistic would be: Bastille Day/Anthem in a medley What You're Doing (Yeah, I said it) Beneath Between and Behind Circumstances Broons Bane/The Trees Xanadu
  9. I have to say over the past few years I have a bad habit of doing it. I think this time I'm going to try to avoid the spoilers, just go and be surprised. Like back in the day, when you had no idea what a band would play, and BOOM, your fave tune shows up. I don't know, I kinda miss that.
  10. Just came across this interview this morning. I think this is it guys. http://www.thestar.com/entertainment/music/2015/02/01/farewell-to-kings-new-rush-tour-could-be-last-menon.html
  11. Bastille Day. The one-two punch of Bastille and Anthem on ATWAS is one of the greatest moments in rock.
  12. Great album, with great tracks. Hands down for me, is Anthem. Pure energy, proto metal. Always been my pick on FBN.
  13. I gotta go with What You're Doing. So classic, love the riff.
  14. Such a great show. The crowd is absolutley insane!
  15. I've never thought of it before but.... I have seen them in 4 different cities. Been to 8 shows, and the only band that has had me choked up during their set. Been a fan since 1980, fell out for a bit during PW and HYF (both of which I have since really gotten into, must be getting older lol) Have a tat ;) Not too much for merch, outside of the vinyl ,shirts, etc. So I'll say about a 9.
  16. I thought it was cool (plus the KISS cover). Lot of screw ups, but sincere.
  17. I have one coming myself, really looking forward to it.
