  1. Sweet! Mine was just the plain DVD. I didn't know about the t shirt, that's pretty cool!
  2. Happy, happy birthday Mick! Best wishes to a great guy and a fellow Dan Fogelberg fan! I hope your day is awesome!
  3. Oh, sheesh, I can't even post in the right thread anymore! NHL, Penguins. He has played 37 professional seasons (some over in Czech Republic) ; pretty good for hockey, but that would be amazing in the NFL! It's been a rough week.
  4. Happy Birthday to this guy! Happy 52nd to Jaromir Jagr, who just keeps playing and playing. His number will be retired by the Penguins in a ceremony on Sunday.
  5. Congrats, Caitlyn Clark of Iowa! She became the all time NCAA women's basketball scorer tonight! (she is also the second highest scorer among all students, only behind Pete Maravich (born a Pittsburgher!) )
  6. That sounds excellent! thank you!
  7. Finally, a Ticketmaster email I can use! Chippendales tickets are available for 6 dates near your location. . (Actually, it reminded me of the old Patrick Swayze, Chris Farley SNL skit.)
  8. Such a huge snow! We got about 23 inches where I lived. There were record low readings on the weather service barometer, too, I think. Trying to find some photos, but having problems with Imgur today. The temperatures were cold that winter, too, the snow stuck around forever in Pennsylvania! I remember walking to a neighbors house and felt like a rat in a maze. The sidewalks were shoveled but other than that, the snow was about waist high.
  9. I always enjoyed listening to him- I was remembering some of my favorites today. Red Solo Cup wasn't my favorite song, but the video was really funny. A very talented guy who will be missed. He was still pretty young.
  10. It's about the big Ali-Foreman fight in Zaire. I had seen it awhile ago but forgotten most of it. It's pretty interesting! Ali was SUCH a great athlete. It was nice to see him in great shape again after all the images of his later years when he was ill.
  11. Here's a great clip- RIP, Wayne!
  12. Good luck with your paper! It sounds like an interesting topic !
  13. Our local paper ( a Lee paper, comes out 3 times a week) stopped commenting a while ago- during covid, I think? We get the choice of being able to click on a sad, happy or angry emoji. Not exactly what people think of when they want to see neighbors information on a zoning change, for instance.
  14. Happy Birthday, Super25Smasher! I hope it was a great weekend and an awesome birthday!
  15. Thanks! I'm not here as much either, I am a caretaker for my 89 year old mom now; it was unexpected and kind of a lot but things are smoothing out (I hope.). Good to hear from you!
  16. I was sad to see this- I loved Moonstruck, just because Cher is great in it. Nicolas Cage is good in his doofus that's not such a doofus role, too. When I read a few obituariesI saw that Jewison had directed, "The Russians Are Coming, The Russians Are Coming!" It's an old, really funny comedy. If you ever get the chance to watch it on Prime or something, its very good. I was surprised more places didn't mention that, but I guess it's an old one. RIP, Norman Jewison.
  17. Happy Birthday, librarian !! Have a wonderful day- hope you are doing well! Have a great one!
  18. Happy Birthday, Turbine Freight! Sending best wishes across the pond- I hope your day was great! Cheers!
  19. I'm sorry to hear this. Her voice had a great range! "Lay Down" is a really pretty song, my friends brother used to play it all the time. She was kinda like Stevie Nicks, before there was Stevie Nicks. RIP, Melanie.
  20. Game already has an obvious winner! Extra points for being yourself next to Taylor !
  21. My dad and I saw Stargell hit a home run into the right field upper deck of Three Rivers Stadium once; It was a great night! No wonder the Pirates were often losing money, with these ticket prices! (Just kidding, like most teams, it's the TV revenue, or lack of . . .). I kept this for some reason.
  22. Willie Stargell was one of a kind, just awesome. I have his autograph somewhere, from when I was too young to realize how cool he was (and we thought autograph day was something that would go on forever.) Kent Tekulve was really special, also. We kept cable way longer than we should have because he was the color guy for most of the Pirate games for years, and he was so great to listen to. He finally retired and we could switch to streaming
